What is the most proven winning formula in the F.O.A.D. stable?  Years go by and every now and then we always get back there, to one of our favorite countries in the world, with a boundless underground panorama and a myriad of incredible bands. Yes, we are of course talking about JAPAN.  And for once we took the trouble to count up how many Japanese releases have been released by our label so far. With the 4x we’re about to announce, we’re up to 80, in a span of just over 10 years.  Out of a catalog of about 360 titles, that is almost 20 percent!! This hints at the charge of passion and interest we have always had for the scene in this country that never ceases to give us insights and little gems to discover.  And among the many genres this month we focus on the one that is probably closest to our hearts: traditional Japanese hardcore, which in this case covers various eras – from the early 80s with NO CUT, pioneers of the genre in the Kyushu area, from the 90s style with WARSAW from Sapporo and CRUSTY HI CHARGE from Osaka, to the present day with a fantastic band from Tokyo still active today, combining veterans of the historical scene (former POISON COLA / UNKIND) with new promises of a younger generation (two members of MILITARY SHADOW) : 100 SWINDLE with their outrageous “Tokyo Burning core”!  For lovers of pure, no-frills hardcore, fueled with energy and anger, this is truly a month not to be missed!

This is it, another mindblowing F.O.A.D. month is in the books and we’re happy to have started 2025 in the best possible way.  As was foretold, it was an all hardcore punk clash, with two Italian bands, one Chilean and one Swedish mangel cult – spanning the 80s, the 2000s to the present day. Welcome to a new F.O.A.D. year that promises to be truly ear-blowing and full of sick surprises! We ended 2024 with 45 releases, not our record, there was a slight decrease from 2023, mostly because this year was undoubtedly the most challenging in the label’s history. We had to deal with a huge move that resulted in our two previous logistics merging into one warehouse. This and a number of other factors caused a series of delays and unforeseen events that slowed us down for a few months. Now we are fully settled in the new location, with a strong and more substantial team, and the prospects for the times ahead are totally positive, you’ve already seen it with the IMPETIGO boxset, which was the most colossal production in the label’s history. And our release schedule for 2025 is almost complete and it’s monstrous.. so let’s stop the pleasantries and start introducing you to what we have in the pot for this January!  It’s been a while since we’ve offered you an all hardcore month, but as you know our catalog is always unpredictable switching from different underground obscurities and genres, and this month we’re finally here: 100% HARDCORE!  Two Italian bands from two eras far apart, one among the heavyweights of Scandinavian råpunk d-beat and one revelation from the highly acclaimed new wave of Chilean tupa-tupa fuzzcore.  Who are we talking about?  From the grey smog filled motor-city of northern Italy, Turin… we have a phenomenal discography of ROUGH‘s early recordings and the first time on vinyl for ARTURO‘s debut album “Conversazioni”, from the frozen helvete of Swedish mangelcore we have ASOCIAL‘s new album, and from the seedier meanders of Chiguayante in Chile we present S.A.P.U and their raw, nihilistic punk!  So to summarize: ASOCIAL “Kolsvart framtid” gatefold LP, ROUGH “Rude 1982-1983” gatefold LP,

Have we survived the most messy month in F.O.A.D. history?  It seems so.  As we have announced several times via FB/IG, the IMPETIGO boxset arrived from the pressing plant considerably later than announced and on top of that they did not send it to us in one shipment but in countless pallets divided over several weeks. This created delays and unprecedented chaos in the handling of our mailorder. Finally today we can announce that all retail orders have been completed and shipped, so all packages are on their way.  There is still some delay related to wholesale shipments to our distributors, so if you were planning to purchase the boxset directly from your local dealer please bear with us a little longer.

We’re so thrilled to announce this month, it’s something completely jaw breaking! We have just settled into our fantastic new warehouse, it’s been a very hard working time and as you have seen we skipped a month of releases in order to move in… to compensate we held 20% off discounts for 30 days (!), and we want to thank very much those who supported us by ordering and taking advantage of this offer. Now that we have a new home, we are ready to start off with a blast, with something that has never been seen before in the history of extreme metal. We can finally unveil F.O.A.D. 300… Once again we celebrate one of our “big” catalog numbers with a truly outstanding release, another dream coming true.
