FEAR OF GOD “Under the chainsaw – Complete Demos 1987” gatefold LP (picture disc, blue and black vinyl) OUT NOW on FOAD Records!!!

Posted in Fear Of God, Releases on May 29th, 2014 by foadmaster2022

The wait is over! After hitting the US soil with an intensive 3 day attendance with FOAD‘s record stand at Maryland Death Fest XII we’re back and happy to introduce a brand new ear splitting release. It was expected to come out 2 weeks earlier but due to a pressing plant’s delay, this just came in. All pre-orders have been immediately shipped of course. So, FEAR OF GODUnder the chainsaw – Complete Demos 1987” gatefold LP is out now on FOAD Records, available in 3 different versions: die-hard picture disc LP, solid blue vinyl and black vinyl. Carrying on our effort on bringing to light all the existing FEAR OF GOD‘s recordings in the most complete and quality-obsessed way, “Under the chainsaw” comes as the 3rd installment in the series after the s/t 21 track EP 1988 and “As statues fell” 12″.  It consists of what back in 1993 came out as their cult “Konserven” EP (FOG’s official Demo 1987 on vinyl) + a huge bonus of 22 songs taken from alternate (and unreleased) tapes recorded in the same period or even before, when the band had just been formed.

As the singer Erich Keller states “The material on this 12” EP documents the development of our sound. There was never any intention to release any of these recordings with the exception of the demo tape, which was previously released on a 7” EP entitled ‘Konserven’.“  You don’t need many words to explain how this sounds like. Every single frame of FEAR OF GOD is the most extreme and brutal delivery of what has been ever conceived in the clash of sounds between Noisecore and Hardcore. As Erich adds: “Hardcore, grindcore, death metal, noise, fuckshitupism – whatever. We didn’t agree on much, but on the following we were unanimous – that Fear Of God should be the most extreme band in the world, or as we would say, the most “brutal.” Every member of the band was under pressure to deliver his contribution with the utmost intensity. The drums had to go as fast as possible, the guitars should grind out riffs as well as produce a wall of noise, the bass and backing vocals should lay the heavily distorted grounds for the overall basic structure and I did everything I could to make my voice sound non-human.“  And this record shows the band’s first step in a short-lived yet hyper-generative progression that made of them one of the most impactful and radical harbingers of Hardcore pushed to inhuman limits of anger and aural destruction. As with all the other F.O.A.D. releases, the stuff included on this 12″ has been selected and scrupulously restored/mastered at Toxic Basement studio for the best possible sounding result on vinyl. Housed in a thick reverse board gatefold jacket with special half white half transparent UV-spot print and A2 poster, including extensive liner notes by Erich Keller and rare/unreleased photos and flyers.  And an extra surprise, did you ever expect to hear Fear Of God shredding ND’s “Scum”? It’s all in here.

Available in 3 different versions:

DIE-HARD PICTURE DISC LP ltd to 166 copies

BULLDOZER “The exorcism: demo ’84” & NAUSEA “World struggle: demos ’88/’92” digipack CD editions OUT NOW !!

Posted in Bulldozer, Nausea, Releases on May 14th, 2014 by foadmaster2022

After the great success of the first pressings on vinyl, F.O.A.D. Records is proud to satisfy the huge request and deliver these highly awaited deluxe digipack editions of two of its most acclaimed releases : BULLDOZERThe exorcism: demo ’84” and NAUSEAWorld struggle: demos ’88/’92”. The usual F.O.A.D. treatment is strong as ever, so expect booklets filled with photos and liner notes and an over the top audio mastering for the best sounding experience!

BULLDOZER – The Exorcism: demo 1984 + Fallen Angel 7″

The ultra-fucking-rare BULLDOZER Demotape 1984 with kult “Fallen angel” 7″ added as bonus. One of the most incredible findings in FOAD‘s hunting career: only 3 copies of this demo exist, one was sent to Roadrunner, one to King Diamond and one was recently exhumed in AC Wild’s basement and delivered to us for a top quality treatment. This is the recording that got Bulldozer signed to Roadrunner in 1984 and it sounds killer… different and rawer versions of classics ended on their debut slasher “The day of wrath”. Dark, demonical Black/Speed Metal from the most savage guts of Italy’s early 80s Metal inferno, for anyone that worships the early releases from Venom, Bathory and Possessed, plus the “Fallen angel” session adds that Motörhead touch making this an instant masterpiece of rawness and sheer power. Check out how AC Wild introduced the unreleased Demo recordings: “This tape was sent to Roadrunner and Roadrunner signed us in 1984. It was also submitted to King Diamond to ask if he was interested in being the producer of our album but he refused saying that this stuff sounded “too Punk”!! Comes in a stunning deluxe digipack CD with 11 page booklet filled with rare/unreleased photos, alternate artworks and liner-notes.

NAUSEA – World struggle: demos 1988 / 1992 + bonus tracks

This is pure old school Grindcore and you can’t get closer to TERRORIZER‘s legendary album “World downfall“, in fact a third of the songs of Terrorizer’s “World downfall” were actually NAUSEA material, the previous band of vocalist Oscar Garcia. Born from the ashes of MAJESTY, they were not a side project of Terrorizer (as many think incorrectly), but a definite band, even surviving the latter’s break up in 1988. Oscar Garcia even used some Nausea songs to complete the posthumous Terrorizer record (‘Corporation Pull-in’, ‘Need to Live’, ‘Condemned System’ and the title track ‘World Downfall’ that was in origin a Majesty song)! On this new CD edition you will find the songs featured on the LP one,  so the band’s classic “Psychological conflict” EP (1990), the obscure and under-rated “Tumor” Demo (1992) and the entire split Demo with TERRORIZER (1988) bootlegged on vinyl by Headache Rec in the early 90s, plus six raw yet powerful sounding tunes from three different rehearsal recordings straight from 1987. These bonus tracks are exclusive for this digipack CD repress and will square the circle of the story of a band the helped to define a full genre! This is raw, doomy and corrosive death metal tinged GRIND with whirlwind blast beats and those incredible moshing riffs that became so influential when World Downfall gained its deserved success!

BULLDOZER “IX” gatefold LP + CD and “Neurodeliri” gatefold LP, special audiophile editions : PRE-ORDERS START NOW!!

Posted in Bulldozer, Pre Orders, Releases on May 9th, 2014 by foadmaster2022

Having already released ageless masterpieces of ’80s Italian Thrash like NECRODEATH’s “Into the macabre“, SCHIZO’s “Main frame collapse” and their common “MONDOCANE Project 1” it was mandatory to complete the so called “Unholy Trinity” to give the same quality-treatment to the almighty BULLDOZER. We have been working on this for several months and now we are ready to reveal what was burning in FOAD’s deadly furnace… two special vinyl reissues of “IX” and “Neurodeliri” are up for pre-orders!!!  If you are looking for the definitive, best sounding editions of these Italian Thrash Metal masterpieces then look no further. Both transfered from the original reels and specially mastered for vinyl to reach the most faithful audiophile quality, reproducing with analog warmness and passion the True original sound of when they were conceived back in 1987 and 1988. Now more in detail about each release:

BULLDOZER “IX” – Gatefold LP + “director’s cut” bonus CD (F.O.A.D. 067)

Without a doubt the fastest and most destructive Bulldozer release to date, showing a band at the top of its compositional maturity. Phenomenal riffage combining their Blackened Thrash trademark with a Speed Metal vibe, rentless aggressive drums and the incredible vocal delivery of the evil lord AC Wild!!  Songs like “Desert!“, “Ilona the very best“, “Heaven’s jail” are absolute Thrash commandments! This is 100% guaranteed the best sounding version ever realized, assisted and approved by original band members. Served for the first time in a deluxe gatefold sleeve including a selection of rare, never-seen-before photos. And there’s more, a very special bonus: we have unearthed a completely forgotten reel featuring the band’s alternate mix discarded by Discomagic, the label that released the 1st edition back in the ’80s. As it sounded killer and highly dynamic we have added it as an extra slimcase CD included in the gatefold, this is a sort of “director’s cut” proposed by the band and totally unreleased until now!

Available in 3 different versions:

– LIMITED ‘JAPANESE’ EDITION ON SPLATTER YELLOW/RED VINYL WITH OBI STRIP IN JAPANESE, ONLY 100 COPIES!

– LIMITED EDITION ON ORANGE VINYL, 150 COPIES

– REGULAR BLACK VINYL

BULLDOZER “Neurodeliri” gatefold LP (F.O.A.D. 068)

An incredible testament on the band’s merciless career through the ’80s. Carrying on the ominous assault of the previous ripper “IX“, “Neurodeliri” offers plenty of sharp riffs, fantastic lead-guitar work, bulldozing heavy drums and vocals that can best be compared to a hoarse and angry Lemmy. Plus some evil keyboards on some tracks adding a somewhat epic and mournful feeling to the music. Songs like “Minkions“, “We are Italians“, “You’ll be recalled” are unbeatable Thrash anthems! This is 100% guaranteed the best sounding version ever made, assisted and approved by original band members. Served for the first time in a deluxe gatefold sleeve including a selection of rare, never-seen-before photos!

Available in 3 different versions:

– LIMITED ‘JAPANESE’ EDITION ON SPLATTER BLUE/ORANGE VINYL WITH OBI STRIP IN JAPANESE, ONLY 100 COPIES!
