This is it, another mindblowing F.O.A.D. month is in the books and we’re happy to have started 2025 in the best possible way.  As was foretold, it was an all hardcore punk clash, with two Italian bands, one Chilean and one Swedish mangel cult – spanning the 80s, the 2000s to the present day. We said these four new titles would be ready by Jan. 20, and here we are right on schedule: ASOCIAL “Kolsvart framtid” gatefold LP, ROUGH “Rude 1982-1983” gatefold LP, ARTURO “Conversazioni” LP and S.A.P.U “Curao, volao y con bajón” LP are out now on F.O.A.D. Records!

All preorders have been shipped, except for the packages containing the ROUGH T-shirt+LP bundle, which has been delayed a bit by the T-shirt printer but should arrive today, so the remaining orders will also be fulfilled asap. Please note, there are very few copies of the diehard versions left, especially of ASOCIAL and ROUGH, so as always our advice is to act fast. Welcome to a new F.O.A.D. year that promises to be truly ear-blowing and full of sick surprises! We ended 2024 with 45 releases, not our record, there was a slight decrease from 2023, mostly because this year was undoubtedly the most challenging in the label’s history. We had to deal with a huge move that resulted in our two previous logistics merging into one warehouse. This and a number of other factors caused a series of delays and unforeseen events that slowed us down for a few months. Now we are fully settled in the new location, with a strong and more substantial team, and the prospects for the times ahead are totally positive, you’ve already seen it with the IMPETIGO boxset, which was the most colossal production in the label’s history. And our release schedule for 2025 is almost complete and it’s monstrous.. so let’s stop the pleasantries and start introducing you to what we have in the pot for this January!  It’s been a while since we’ve offered you an all hardcore month, but as you know our catalog is always unpredictable switching from different underground obscurities and genres, and this month we’re finally here: 100% HARDCORE!  Two Italian bands from two eras far apart, one among the heavyweights of Scandinavian råpunk d-beat and one revelation from the highly acclaimed new wave of Chilean tupa-tupa fuzzcore.  Who are we talking about?  From the grey smog filled motor-city of northern Italy, Turin… we have a phenomenal discography of ROUGH‘s early recordings and the first time on vinyl for ARTURO‘s debut album “Conversazioni”, from the frozen helvete of Swedish mangelcore we have ASOCIAL‘s new album, and from the seedier meanders of Chiguayante in Chile we present S.A.P.U and their raw, nihilistic punk!  So to summarize: ASOCIAL “Kolsvart framtid” gatefold LP, ROUGH “Rude 1982-1983” gatefold LP,

We are finally approaching the end of 2019 and with this batch of 4x releases coming out today we’re closing what has been the most prolific year ever in F.O.A.D.‘s history…  31 releases in one year!! For a totally independent underground label based in the “Europe’s arse” as we are it’s a really astonishing result and if on one hand we’re proud of the hard work that brought us here, on the other we want to thank you all for supporting us and for enjoying these records, each one of these pieces of vinyl is backed by stories of dedication, friendship and above all enthusiasm crawling through the most impenetrable crypts of the fastest, noisiest Metal/Hardcore sickness of different eras.

Just when you thought that there were no diamonds left to be unearthed from the worshipped vaults of the early ’80s Finnish Hardcore scene, F.O.A.D. Records is ready to shock you with a lost&found classic that nobody was aware of, not even the psychos from the most diehard tape-trading circles. BAYONET have remained an obscurity also among Punks in their native land. Perhaps it has faded into somewhat a mystery as they had virtually no contributions to the thriving scene of Finland in 1982 and 1983 – the very little while they existed…  A shit-quality bootleg 7″ came to light few years ago, but it really didn’t make justice to the fact that these guys had two incredible studio recordings that they didn’t send anywhere at that time, and that were unearthed just recently thanks to the help of a friend that contacted a band member and triggered the gear that made us get here.

So if you’re a fan of raw and fast Suomi HC/Punk and turn crazy for bands such as Kaaos, Rattus, Bastards, Terveet Kädet, Varaus, Sorto, Riistetyt, Kansan Uutiset and dozens more, this 49 song discography by BAYONET needs to be an instant add-on to your collection. Needless to say that it’s all mastered from the best sounding sources in existence. These guys claim they were influenced by early ’80s US Hardcore but the style is actually what we all love of Finnish HC, a bloody chaotic inferno of speed and brutal distortion. SODOM ソドム “St.Requiem” Gatefold LP+7″ 2nd pressing (F.O.A.D. 150)

2nd pressing with golden sleeves (the first was all silver). A treasure of Japanese Hardcore/Punk finally seeing the light on vinyl in a deluxe version authorized by the band and all mastered in a process of years under supervision of the singer Zazie. This collection includes the cult “St. Requiem” tape-album (1984) and a bonus EP with the “ADK Omnibus” tracks (1983) cut at 45rpm for the best sounding sonic impact. 25 songs in total.

“St. Requiem” stands with no doubt as one of the best Japanese Hardcore tapes released in the ’80s, it combines rapid fast Hardcore bursts with some dark, claustrophobic atmospheres that were characterizing the sound of several bands released by the legendary ADK Records label.

And talking of the pioneering status of this great band (that moved to a different musical direction in the years to follow), the singer Zazie was part of a very early stage of the GAUZE line-up in the passage from Typhus to Gauze in fall 1981. And trust us, it’s a total ripper, fast + rapid + thrashing as hell Japanese Hardcore at its best! VULGARITY KIDS “s/t“  LP (F.O.A.D. 135)

Another gem of obscure ’80s Japanese Hardcore on F.O.A.D. Records.  Hailing from the area of Utsunomiya, Tochigi, this shortly lived outfit delivered the traditional sound of fast, no frills Japanese Hardcore of the late 80s that at times recalls the early Systematic Death EPs and 12″. This LP (silk screened on side B) collects their hard to find flexi 8″ on Asia Record recorded in 1987 and a song from “Enjoy your youth by this Hardcore sampler” mastered from the original reels and gets released in time for their comeback show in memory of their former guitarist Moochin that passed away 30 years ago in fall 1987.

Comes with special OBI strip, a fanzine styled booklet with liner notes, photos and flyers.

VULGARITY KIDS are yet another proof that when it comes to Japanese Hardcore you don’t have to strictly focus only on the classic names because there is an endless panorama of demos, rare records and obscurities that hides some very high quality bands. It’s an interesting challenge for us to unearth them and bring them back to light on releases like this!

Sweden’s Hardcore pioneers blast back after 23 years!  “Död åt kapitalismen” is their first recording since 1994 and as expected it takes no prisoners… 10 songs of raw and brutal HC combing the traditional Scandinavian approach with a solid d-beat structure. ASOCIAL “House of gore +” gatefold LP (F.O.A.D. 131)

The third and final installment that completes the ASOCIAL vinyl reissues to make their entire 1982-1994 easily available for all you Scandicore psychos. This LP collects the following: “How could Hardcore be any worse” (split tape with The Bedrövlers, 1984… THEIR FASTEST RECORDINGS EVER!) plus some extra unreleased stuff, songs from “Hardcore for the masses” and “Attack is now suicide” v.a. LPs (both from 1988), the “House of gore” 7″ (1992) and their songs from “Distortion to hell” v.a. CD (1994). All this stuff has been mastered from the original reels and mastertapes.

This collection shows the band’s progression from the early, out of control ultra Hardcore annihilation to a more d-beat paced (as a matter of fact, a Discharge cover is included) and even metallic HC approach, still keeping the aggression and power that has always been a trademark in their sound. 25 tracks. Housed in a glossy gatefold sleeve with silver hot-foil stamping.
