VULGARITY KIDS “s/t” LP, ASOCIAL “Död åt kapitalismen” gatefold LP and “House of gore +” gatefold LP up for preorders!!!

Posted in Asocial, Pre Orders, Releases, Vulgarity Kids on September 8th, 2017 by foadmaster2022

Back from a frantic summer with many festivals and the madness of 8 FOAD releases in 3 months, here we are again with a triple bloodbath of pure mindblowing Hardcore from Japan and Sweden!! Our legacy with the Scandicore masters ASOCIAL keeps strong as we are releasing their 3rd and final chapter that completes the reissues of their 80s/90s discography, and then a big surprise… their brand new album freshly recorded in spring 2017 right after some killer comeback shows that totally destroyed! And moving to the Far East, as you’ve seen in the past few years, we always keep an eye open on Japanese Hardcore and the immense underground of obscure treasures still hidden there… This time we chose to unearth the VULGARITY KIDS, a thrashing HC unit that delivered just one 8″ flexi back in 1987 that according to us is a little classic in its style. So FOAD‘s aggression for September consists of: VULGARITY KIDS “s/t” LP and ASOCIAL “Död åt kapitalismen” gatefold LP and “House of gore +” gatefold LP. Pre-orders start now, we’ll start to ship from September 21st 2017. As we always remind, act fast if you want to catch the die-hard versions, as they never last too long!

More in detail about each release:

VULGARITY KIDS “s/t  LP (F.O.A.D. 135)

Another gem of obscure ’80s Japanese Hardcore on F.O.A.D. Records.  Hailing from the area of Utsunomiya, Tochigi, this shortly lived outfit delivered the traditional sound of fast, no frills Japanese Hardcore of the late 80s that at times recalls the early Systematic Death EPs and 12″. This LP (silk screened on side B) collects their hard to find flexi 8″ on Asia Record recorded in 1987 and a song from “Enjoy your youth by this Hardcore sampler” mastered from the original reels and gets released in time for their comeback show in memory of their former guitarist Moochin that passed away 30 years ago in fall 1987. Comes with special OBI strip, a fanzine styled booklet with liner notes, photos and flyers.

VULGARITY KIDS are yet another proof that when it comes to Japanese Hardcore you don’t have to strictly focus only on the classic names because there is an endless panorama of demos, rare records and obscurities that hides some very high quality bands. It’s an interesting challenge for us to unearth them and bring them back to light on releases like this!

Available in two different versions:

Die-hard edition (magenta vinyl) limited to 100

Black vinyl limited to 200

==================

ASOCIAL “Död åt kapitalismen” gatefold LP (F.O.A.D. 132)

Sweden’s Hardcore pioneers blast back after 23 years!  “Död åt kapitalismen” is their first recording since 1994 and as expected it takes no prisoners… 10 songs of raw and brutal HC combing the traditional Scandinavian approach with a solid d-beat structure. It takes all the best features of their previous works to push them to a new devastating stage… speed, anger, vitriolic vocals and a solid production makes this a total scandicore headsmasher for fans of Anti Cimex, Crude SS, Totallitär, Avskum and so on. Comes in a gatefold sleeve.

Available in two different versions:

Die-hard edition on half’n’half red-black vinyl limited t 100

Black vinyl limited to 400

==================

ASOCIAL “House of gore +” gatefold LP (F.O.A.D. 131)

The third and final installment that completes the ASOCIAL vinyl reissues to make their entire 1982-1994 easily available for all you Scandicore psychos. This LP collects the following: “How could Hardcore be any worse” (split tape with The Bedrövlers, 1984… THEIR FASTEST RECORDINGS EVER!) plus some extra unreleased stuff, songs from “Hardcore for the masses” and “Attack is now suicide” v.a. LPs (both from 1988), the “House of gore” 7″ (1992) and their songs from “Distortion to hell” v.a. CD (1994). All this stuff has been mastered from the original reels and mastertapes.

This collection shows the band’s progression from the early, out of control ultra Hardcore annihilation to a more d-beat paced (as a matter of fact, a Discharge cover is included) and even metallic HC approach, still keeping the aggression and power that has always been a trademark in their sound. 25 tracks. Housed in a glossy gatefold sleeve with silver hot-foil stamping.

Available in two different versions:

Die-hard edition on splatter vinyl (blue with black speckles) limited to 100

Black vinyl limited to 200

Now more in detail about each release:

Asocial “Det Bittra Slutet +” double LP (F.O.A.D. 108)

Total Swedish Hardcore mangel at its best! Credited by heavy metal expert Daniel Ekeroth as the true inventors of the ‘blast-beat’ and the originators of grindcore (he defines ASOCIAL as ‘key to any survey of estreme music‘ in his book ‘Swedish Death Metal‘), ASOCIAL are a total cult among old European Hardcore Punk collectors. This monster anthology (55 SONGS) on double LP has been entirely compiled by the band using the original 1/4″ reels and 1st generation tapes, it has been edited and mastered by the band and even the whole layout has been put together by them using rare photos, flyers, cassette covers, liner notes and more!

It includes the legendary “Det bittra slutet” EP (1984) with its previous demo and unreleased tracks from the same session, the complete “Asocial Attack” cassette (the one that it’s assumed to feature some of the first blast beats ever landed on this planet!), an extra rehearsal from the same period, extra demo tracks 1983-1984 (among which the songs included on the “No war no more Vol. II” Comp. Tape) and 15 live tracks (the complete Split cassette with Distrust + 2 more songs recorded in Hedemora).  What to add?  If you like the fastest Scandinavian Hardcore/Punk and your daily drug is the insanely raw devastation of bands like Mob 47, Anti Cimex, The Shitlickers, Crude SS, Discard and the many “really fast” treasures that came out of the Swedish scene in the early ’80s, then this double LP is an absolute must for your collection!  Housed in a glossy UV laminated gatefold cover including a 8 page booklet!

Regular edition on solid back vinyl, limited to 400 copies

==================

Sore Throat “Disgrace to the corpse of Sid”  gatefold LP (F.O.A.D. 107)

One of the scariest, most terrific records in the history of music finally comes back to light in a deluxe FOAD-treatment reissue!  This 103 monstrosity (yes, it was 103 not 101 as written on the 1st pressing’s sticker) originally released in 1989 and surrounded by many controversies between the band and Earache Records, still stands as an unmatched assault of catastrophic Noisecore savagery. Call it Grind, Noise, Britcore or whatever… but if we talk of the most extreme shit ever released on a full length 12″, “Disgrace To The Corpse Of Sid” certainly stands among the top 5 of all times. As Rich mentions: “Lion Studios was hit with a barrage of Noise even more extreme than before, as we decided to up the ante, and go for over 100 tracks on the record.” Side A consists of 90 machine-gun bursts of apocalyptic dementia, while Side B slows down for 13 anguished Sludge/Punk anthems at times recalling the industrial mood of Saw Throat’s “Indestroy” LP.

This new edition has been entirely remastered for vinyl from the best sounding sources and re-packaged in a thick gatefold sleeve including lyrics and extensive liner notes by Rich “Militia“. And it adds a special outrageous surprise that won’t be revealed here, you have to see it!

Available in 2 different versions:

Die-hard edition in half black half yellow (with green splattering) vinyl, limited to 100 copies

Regular edition on solid back vinyl, limited to 400 copies

==================

The Gerogerigegege “Moenai Hai” LP (F.O.A.D. 109)

Welcome the return of one of Japan’s highest expressions of deranged Noise ever conceived!! Over 30 years of extraordinary nonsense anti-musical craziness of the sickest kind, this is the first record released after a mysterious hiatus of 15 years and also the first full length LP in almost 2 decades. And as always, the genius of Juntaro Yamanouchi leaves us pleasantly thrilled…  “燃えない灰” (Moenai Hai) is an eclectic journey in obscurity that alternates Dark Ambient and Noise Rock to bursts of pure mindblowing sonic violence.  The second track “ゲロゲリゲゲゲ / “The Gerogerigegege” above all is the remake of an old song (written in 1985) and this newer version has Dr. Euro of the legendary Execute on drums, giving it a solid Punk feel.

It’s a crescendo with an ultra-noisy guitar turning increasingly saturated and deflagrating, recalling the weird sonic approach of previous works of cult like “Senzuri Power Up“. If you’re a follower of this unstoppable master of noise and you enjoy his previous aural crimes, this new effort will definitely make you wish for more!

Limited edition on ultra dark blue vinyl (250 copies)

And this time we totally outdid ourselves, as we’re going there to premiere 3 RELEASES, a triple attack of terrific Noisecore/Punk/Hardcore hostility. 3 names from Sweden, UK and Japan that truly represent the core and the roots of their countries’ underground extremity.
