Our vinyl delivery for this month is a terrific double brain-severing assault to leave your ears completely mangled… Yes it’s again UK’s kings of cider fueled Noisecore/Punk: SORE THROAT!! We are proud to announce our second installment in re-issuing their complete discography, this time it’s the turn for the classic debut full length “Unhindered by talent” (1988) dusted off in a beautiful gatefold LP edition with bonus poster and extensive liner notes by Rich Militia. And there’s more, due to the high demand, we also decided to deliver you a new pressing of the previous “Death to capitalist Halmshaw” double gatefold LP with a different color sleeve and a new limited splatter version. Just like Switzerland’s noise masters FEAR OF GOD (of which we are gradually re-issuing the entire discography too), this is hands down one of our favourite bands so we have really concentrated all our efforts to provide the best sounding vinyl result and a great looking packaging, as these bands have pioneered the true spirit of extremity in whatever is fast and blasting in Metal/Punk, so they deserve all our respect and dedication. Housed in a thick reverseboard gatefold sleeve including lyrics and detailed liner notes by Rich Militia, enriched by a 2 sided A2 poster. Official reissue of one of the most influential and distinctive Grind/Punk/Noisecore albums of the late ’80s Britcore scene, and of all times too. 52 songs of cider-intoxicated aural butchery backed by a caustic sense of humor and savagely provocative lyrics attacking the HC scene of their time.

2nd edition with green and black print on the gatefold sleeve and poster (instead of blue and black like the 1st). Double LP, 129 song monstrosity collecting all ST’s demos, their cult “Death to capitalist Hardcore” debut EP and an endless parade of rarities, comp. tracks and live recordings from 1987 to 1990. Old reviews used to describe Uk’s SORE THROAT as “Beyond almost anything you’ve ever heard… Even Extreme Noise Terror are scared of them… as palatable as cabbage boiled in fish urine“.

Over 2 decades are gone but these pioneers of the most horrific alcohol-wrecked Noisecore/Grind ever conceived on the British soil still sound as the most nihilist and unsurpassed sonic aberration one can think of. And to be able to offer their noise in the most pristine form, closer to its primordial authenticity all what you will experience on this horrendous double platter has been scrupulously acquired from the original reels and tapes and mastered for vinyl with the maniacal attention of the widely-acclaimed Toxic Basement Studio, an absolute guarantee of passion and dedication for all what comes from the golden days of analog Hardcore/Thrash and Grind. Here we are! As previously announced we set February 25 for two new detonating FOAD thrashin’ attacks, and we kept the promise. The highly awaited CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER “Stream of consciousness – Extended version” 2xLP gatefold is out now in conjunction with UPSET NOISE “Nothing more to be said / Growing pain + Live 1986” digipack CD/DVD!!  Most pre-orders have been shipped already. As expected, the CS die-hard edition on splatter vinyl has been completely sold out on preorder (this is getting a routine for all die-hard editions of our releases) , but of course you can still purchase the solid black vinyl version limited to 400.  A note: the previous images published of the “rainbow splatter effect” we had requested to the vinyl factory for the CS die-hard copies don’t match exactly to the final result that we received. We are posting a photo here so those who ordered it can see what they are getting. It’s not far from the starting idea but the pressing plant splattered it with colour drops instead of stripes, they always say that the final result is random, so we accept it because it looks killer and unique anyway. It’s more like a plumcake-with-candies than a rainbow!

Are you ready for a new chapter in the Cryptic Slaughter + FOAD legacy? After giving the right treatment to their legendary “Life in grave” demotape with a special vinyl version including tons of bonus material, it was about time to unite forces again and bring to light a new classic of our favourite California’s thrashing Speed-core pioneers. So we have decided to focus on their 3rd classic full length, their final release before splitting up and reforming again with new members, “Stream of consciousness” originally released in 1988 by Death Records / Metal Blade and never re-issued until then! We did everything possible to improve the sound with a special mastering for vinyl by our sound wizard H.o.D. at Toxic Basement Studio, adding a lot of aggression to the drums and guitar… One thing is sure: you have never heard “Stream..” sound so crisp as on this version! And to make the package even more outstanding we have added 1 full LP of extra tracks, featuring their complete pre-production session (that is even faster and rawer!) made few days before they entered the studio to record the album + 2 rare rehearsal songs 1987 one of which sees Rob and Bill trading off vocals!

Before reaching a cult status with an incredible debut full length such as “American paranoia” they did an equally groundbreaking Demo, “Dead serious” – consisting of 10 rapid-fire bursts of fast and furious Hardcore. Quoting our friend Eric / goodbamusic.com: “ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT came out of the blue with this one. They sent out the demo tape to a lot of international fanzines and radio stations and got very popular immediately. Everybody was blown away – rarely had there been a genuine blend of the best elements of both Hardcore and Metal, played with such passion. The joy is literally bleeding through within every note, yet all the songs have a fascinating melodramatic atmosphere. By the way, this was recorded at the infamous “Turk Street Studios” where EXODUS also had recorded a demo tape. If said EXODUS demo only had the sound this one has …”

Limited edition of 300 copies on transparent blue vinyl with side-B silkscreened. Official reissue on vinyl of BRAINSTORM‘s debut Demotape “Only the dead see the end of the war” (1989). Among the multitude of cult demos worshipped by the most dogged tape-traders back in the day, this little treasure from former Yugoslavia has always been a highlight here between the FOAD’s ranks. Their style was perfectly settled in the growing Grind/Britcore extremity that was exploding those years thanks to early releases of labels like Earache, Peaceville and Manic Ears. BRAINSTORM was totally devoted to that formula, delivering a manic raw barrage of Grinding HC with a massive dose of riff-oriented Thrashcore catchiness. It reminds of DOOM, UNSEEN TERROR, DEVIATED INSTINCT, HERESY, “Scum”-era NAPALM DEATH and other pioneers of that scene. This link was consolidated by the fact that the singer of the band lived in the UK for a long period those years, attending that scene and bands like DOOM.

Besides their devastating musical approach BRAINSTORM were a strongly political band with lyrics that were highly focused on their country’s social background, anticipating with their anti-war message the inner conflict that dismembered Yugoslavia in the years that followed. Mastered from the original reels at Toxic Basement studio with meticulous care for the best possible sounding result, “Only the dead see the end of the war” comes back to life in its most dynamic and powerful version ever. So this is really the last FOAD Records‘ surprise for this year, just in time for this filthy Christmas best portrayed by the cult drawing of Luca Abort included in the record we’re about to introduce here!

Yes, it was about time to bring back to life NERORGASMO‘s 1st legendary EP in a FOAD quality version that will hopefully satisfy those who can’t afford the original 1st press. This is an accurate reproduction of the original debut EP from 1985 with its 3 inserts (adding one extra artwork drawed by Luca Abort) and thick cardboard cover. NERORGASMO, the blackest and most sincere face of Torino’s Dark/Punk nihilism in the ’80s and early ’90s, the true sound of urban decadence in the city that generated some of the most active and creative Punk/HC acts back in the “fuorious years” of Italian hardcore (think of NEGAZIONE, DECLINO, 5# BRACCIO etc). This is their first legendary EP re-transfered from the 1st generation tape (so you won’t hear any old vinyl crackles).

Musically, this was a unique brand of blackened HC/Punk the Italian way crossed with some sinister Dark/Rock influences and the incredibly expressive vocals of Luca Abort (RIP) mixing rage with his sick sarcastic moods.
