The wait is over, after being in the pipeline for 4 long years, LUDICHRI$T “God is everywhere (Demos 1985 + Live at CBGB 1986)” double LP is finally out now on FOAD Records!!

All pre-orders have been shipped and the record has been premiered last weekend at Dynamo / Eindhoven’s “Bloodshed Fest“. There are less than 20 COPIES left of the die-hard edition in splatter grey/white vinyl, so these are the last few days for getting this special edition ltd to 100 copies, otherwise don’t miss the regular black that is equally nice and collectable, with its golden silkscreen art on Side D. So more in detail: this release means a lot to us because, as previously said, it took 4 endless years of stubbornness and dead-ends to put it together, track down the best sounding masters and find enough photos, flyers etc to make it something special as we wish all our releases to be. None of the original band members had any sort of reels, master tapes or anything that could be helpful for this, so we had to go face a manic research through collectors and traders, ex zine editors and so on. To make you understand what kind of restoration work has been done… some lost artworks have been photographed from ultra washed-out tshirts of those years, printed and retraced by hand to be returned to their original shape! Thanks to perseverance and to the help of many enthusiasts that provided useful material, we finally brought to life this project started exactly on.. June 2010!! Crazy, uh? This collection consists of: Complete demos 1985 transfered from the best sounding sources in existence, songs from “Exposure to conviction” compilation tape 1986, fully uncut “Off The Board Live at CGBG 1986“.. 34 songs of tight and powerful NEW YORK HARDCORE showcasing the early steps of a band that gave a massive input to the genre and pioneered the US school of Crossover combining the most skilled and talented Thrash impact with their Hardcore roots. If you enjoyed the CRUMBSUCKERS’ “Turn back time” anthology we released a while ago, this is another treasure of solid and uncompromised NY HC!! Three-sided double LP with Side D silkscreened with an elegant gold print, gatefold cover and 12″x12″ booklet full of rare flyers, photos, early tshirt art and zine excerpts. And, icing on the cake.. front cover art by Gee Vaucher of CRASS!

Finally, after an unexpected wait (delays at the pressing plant) the unstoppable F.O.A.D.‘s furnace is finally back to crank out some fast and powerful old school Hardcore/Thrash. We are proud to announce that pre-orders for LUDICHRI$T “God is everywhere (Demos 1985 + Live at CBGB 1986)” Double LP are starting now!

This release means a lot to us because it took 4 endless years of stubbornness and dead-ends to put it together, track down the best sounding masters and find enough photos, flyers etc to make it something special as we wish all our releases to be. None of the original band members had any sort of reels, master tapes or anything that could be helpful for this, so we had to go face a manic research through collectors and traders, ex zine editors and so on. RAW POWER “After your brain” (redux edition) digipack CD out now on FOAD Records!

SURPRISE!! If you thought that we were closing down for an August break to comeback in September with new releases, you guessed wrong. We’re still here with another top quality RAW POWER release, this time a redux edition of “After you brain” repackaged in a deluxe digipack version, with the best quality sound you could dream it to have, completely pulverising the previous editions.

Following the path of their groundbreaking masterpiece “Screams from the gutter” (1984), RAW POWER’s third delivery “After your brain” (1987) strengthens the band’s well-oiled Hardcore intensity performed at unbeatable technical precision for the times spicing it up with additional influences, ranging from Metal to guitar driven HardRock, but never losing that speed and punk fueled rage that characterized their sound so greatly. Recorded in one of Italy’s most credited studios of those years, “After you brain” was released with an uncomplete and rushed mix that left the band partially satisfied of the final result. 27 years later and for the first time ever, we re-transfered each channel from the master reels and remixed it scrupulously at Toxic Basement Studio under the band’s direct supervision. This is how it was supposed to be back then and how Raw Power themselves always wished it to sound like.

As the legendary frontman Mauro Codeluppi says: “We recorded everything without great difficulty, sleeping outside in Helder’s camper to avoid having to pay extra taxes to the studio. I can’t remember why, but in the end the record wasn’t mixed properly and the result was a poorly done job. Today, after almost 30 years, with the help of F.O.A.D. Records and the actual members of Raw Power, “After your brain” is reborn for the second time… Completely dissected and reassembled you can listen to it how it should have been, rediscovering details that have been hidden, up to today.” As all the other RAW POWER reissues on F.O.A.D. (this is the 4th of the series after “Birth”, “You are the victim” and “Screams from the gutter”) this comes in a deluxe digipack sleeve with 8 page booklet including lyrics, rare photos and liner notes. ..with a slight delay (we’ve been completely absorbed by 1 full week at the Obscene Extreme festival with 6 FOAD bands perfoming) it’s time to announce that one of our most anticipated summer releases is finally available and ready to ship!

PAUL CHAIN “Mirror” Double LP is out now! All preorders have been shipped, some of you should have received it already. Housed in a ultra-thick (the whole thing is 750 grams!) casewrapped gatefold with a silver foil mirror inside, making it one of the most deluxe FOAD releases to date, this is the official reissue of Minotauro‘s “Mirror” single/comp. trax anthology for the first time ever on a vinyl set, adding the rare B-side track off the “Needful/Yellow acid” 7″ not included on the previous CD version!
