Quoting Doom, Discharge, Chaos U.K., Disorder, Crucifix and Conflict as their influences on this album, ASBESTOS were actually one of the first Japanese HC bands to introduce Crustcore elements in their sound incorporating them with powerful Metal/Punk riffs creating a dark, catastrophic mood all of their own. Audio taken from the best sounding sources in existence and cleverly remastered for vinyl at Toxic Basement Studio. Watch the trailer HERE

Their most complete discography to date (83 songs!!) compiling all their existing recordings including demos, split releases, compilation tracks, 7”s, unreleased tracks and live plus a fantastic pre-SHOT GUN studio session from their rare early band WARSAW. Furious female fronted screaming aggression delivered by veterans of the SC-HC scene (members of F.U.P., CHINPIRA, BARRICADE, SLANG and more!). This is pure no frills Hardcore the way it has to be, hard to make a comparison but on the infinite universe of Japanese bands some parts remind of Systematic Death and The Comes, and if you want to take it on an international level, Los Crudos come to mind… Double LP housed in a high glossy gatefold jacket with OBI strip + bonus CD, sticker and 16 page full coloured booklet with rare photos and scans of their entire discography. As the band says: “Stick to old-fashioned style“!!  Watch the trailer HERE

ERIEZA ROYAL & THE SUMMARY LYNCH “The unconquered – extended edition” LP (F.O.A.D. 261)

All female aggro Punk attack from Tokyo produced by Atsuo (BORIS)! Straightforward all girl crude Punk starring the eclectic force of Erieza Royal, previously in 穴奴隷 (Ana Do Rei), Ecodamned and many other bands! This LP comprises their rabid Hardcore Punk oriented “The unconquered” EP with an unreleased bonus track plus the 2018 tour EP leaning more towards poppy Punk Rock territories in a Japanese way. Both recordings have never been released on vinyl to date. Quoting Atsuo (BORIS) himself: “Many years have passed since I met ERIEZA ROYAL & The Summary Lynch. I have helped them with recording, mixing, designing, etc. Erieza is also known as a feminist. This is how a woman and a man were able to create a wonderful work together. I think we could present new possibilities for the future. I hope that their overflowing love and power will reach the world“. Recommended to fans of Kyah, The Nurse, Nickey And The Warriors, MNK Project…  Watch the trailer HERE

Available in two different versions:

Marble grey vinyl limited to 150 copies

Black vinyl limited to 150 copies

BRAINSTORM “Milošević is dead” Tape (F.O.A.D. on tape #22)

Official reissue on tape of the extremely scarce LP released in 1995 (only 100 pressed)! Political Hardcore from Belgrade, former Yugoslavia, strongly influenced by 80’s UK Punk and Earache/Manic Ears styled Britcore… BRAINSTORM was totally devoted to that formula, delivering a manic raw barrage of grinding HC with a massive dose of riff-oriented Thrashcore catchiness. For fans of DOOM, UNSEEN TERROR, DEVIATED INSTINCT, HERESY, ELECTRO HIPPIES and other pioneers of that scene. Just as on the original album, side A includes studio/live tracks from 1995 and Side B features the legendary “Only The Dead See The End Of War” – Studio / Live demo 1989. Their lyrics were strongly anti-war and anti-government and have been written through those critical years when the ex-YU territories were plagued by what has been one of the most horrible conflicts in Europe after WW2, sadly still very real and harsh when applied to what’s happening again today. Pro-printed silk screened tapes with full colored jcard, strictly limited to 100 copies!  Watch the trailer HERE

This month we are in perfect timing with the expected release date, as previously announced March on F.O.A.D. is a lethal clash of punishing NY Death Metal with SKINLESS and their “Gut pumping hits – The demos” gatefold 2xLP collecting all demos + everything recorded before “Progression towards evil” vs two obscure and menacing old school Black/Death brigades from South Eastern Asia with the ominous EURONYMOUS / BEHEADED NASRANI “split” LP+cd !!

They are both out now and ALL your preorders have already been shipped and updated with tracking numbers. There aren’t many copies left of the diehard versions (SKINLESS on red-black splatter and EURONYMOUS / BEHEADED NASRANI on swamp green vinyl) so we strongly suggest you to act fast before they’re gone forever. Also, watch out… from now on we will tighten the times for the next announcements and the opening for pre-orders of the upcoming releases since we want to recover the countless delays that have occurred in the past months due to pressing plants’ congestion, so keep an eye on our sites because there are a multitude of news on the way!

Posted in Releases on March 1st, 2022 by foadmaster2022

As you may have noticed, one of our peculiarities here at F.O.A.D. Records is to organize the releases’ schedule in a thematic way, ensuring that each month has its own special feature, so as to be able to range over various genres and countries in a well-reasoned way. In December we had the all Noisecore based month, January was focused on Japanese Hardcore/Thrash… what we have come up with for this month is an entirely different beast: the complete demos collection of an American Death Metal legend vs two obscure pioneering units from the old school Singaporean Black/Death inferno.

If you think that there’s not much connection between these two, it’s no secret the fact that March was planned with 4 releases but two were removed from production (postponed to a date to be defined) out of all our expectations due to the usual fuck-up caused by a local pressing plant. And those two releases would have been be the ideal connecting link to create the perfect F.O.A.D. month. But after all these are details and small side effects of the gray times we are living in, and what we are about to offer you is still a solid lineup in typical F.O.A.D. style: SKINLESSGut pumping hits” gatefold 2xLP, a complete collection of the early demos and compilation tracks by these NY Death Metal heavyweights and EURONYMOUS / BEHEADED NASRANIsplit” LP+CD, a nigthmarish descent into the most putrid and malevolent realms of old school Singaporean Death/Black Metal that will totally delight those of you who’ve enjoyed our previous foray through the meanders of Singapore’s ancient obscurities with XASTHUR‘s “Hidden lore” released on vinyl last year.

So to sum things up, SKINLESSGut pumping hits – the demos” gatefold 2xLP and EURONYMOUS / BEHEADED NASRANI  “split” LP+CD are both available on preorder, as usual we strongly suggest you to act fast if you want to catch the diehard colored vinyl version, they certainly won’t sit in our warehouse for long!

Posted in Pre Orders, Releases, Riverge, Semetary, Zigai on January 21st, 2022 by foadmaster2022

We had promised to start the year with a blast and here we are to reveal what it was all about, with the only flaw that we were ready to make this announcement much earlier but as it’s happening more and more often in recent times, a completely unexpected delay from the pressing plant messed up our plans a bit. Nevertheless, we are almost in the pipeline and therefore let’s get straight to the point: it’s no longer necessary to say that F.O.A.D. Records has a very strong bond with Japan and that over the years we have unearthed many underground gems from this amazing country, so once again we return to explore the boundless and mysterious meanders of an inexhaustible scene with an infinity interesting material (both past and present) yet to be discovered.

For this round of releases, we have chosen 3 bands, two of them are totally on the traditional Japancore front: we’re talking of Shizuoka’s HC psychos SEMETARY of which we’re honored to deliver a complete 32 song discography 1988-1992, then the shortly lived Kyushu Hardcore Punk revelation called ZIGAI whose period of existence takes us back to much less distant times (2016-2017), while the third is one of Osaka’s pioneering Thrash legends, RIVERGE – here with a feverishly exhaustive anthology of their early rare recordings from 1985 to 1988. To sum things up, this month’s recipe on F.O.A.D. Records consists of: SEMETARYNo runaway – Complete discography 1989-1992” 2xLP+CD, RIVERGEStand in fear of nothing – Early years discography” 3xLP+CD and ZIGAIs/t” gatefold LP!!

Posted in Atrofia Cerebral, Cripple Bastards, Releases, Sore Throat, Tumor, W.B.I. on December 21st, 2021 by foadmaster2022

Here we are with the final post closing another extremely vital and productive year for F.O.A.D. Records. Despite all the difficulties related to the pandemic, the increases in raw material costs and above all the never-before-seen congestion that has slowed down pressing plants beyond belief, in such tough times we managed to get to 36 releases out in 2021, which for us is truly an absolute record. A record that we’ll do everything we can to break even further in 2022, given the fact that we have an endless list of incredible releases that we can’t wait to reveal! All this is only thanks to all of you who have always continued to support us and appreciate our work – allowing us to keep things rolling strong and stable. To all those who have tenaciously continued to get our releases and of course to the various record stores and distros that helped us get them around: you know who you are and all our efforts and commitment are dedicated to you.

So, as previously announced – we are ending the year with a brain-splitting storm of relentless Noisecore, and the apocalyptic four consists of: SORE THROATWho killed Gumby?” LP, CRIPPLE BASTARDS1991: complete demo sessions and unreleased tracks” LP, W.B.I. / TUMORSplit” LP and ATROFIA CEREBRALMatanza extrema” LP.

All of them are out now, most preorders have been sent so you can hopefully receive them before Xmas. As expected, the diehard colored vinyl versions of all have been sold out on preorder, for some of them the black vinyl run is quite limited too, so we strongly suggest to act fast if you don’t want to miss them! F.O.A.D. Records and scareystore.com will continue to operate without interruption during the upcoming holidays, we’ll try our best to ship orders in real time, if some delays will occur it’ll be due to couriers and post offices.  Last one: stay tuned because our next round of announcements will be simply… UNREAL!!

More in detail about this month’s 4 x Noisecore releases:

SORE THROAT “Who killed Gumby?” LP (F.O.A.D. 250)

F.O.A.D. Records reaches its 250th release with an absolute gem of uncompromised aural butchery. SORE THROAT’s first ever recording immortalized in Rich Militia’s bedroom in 1987, now for the first time on vinyl! Quoting Rich himself: “22 tracks of cider swilling, system smashing, Evo sniffing, Tory punching, fashion hating, Nazi crushing, total horrendous noise!”. But wait, there are actually a lot more than 22 tracks: side B Includes a particularly rowdy live recording recorded in Cardiff in 1988, which is not just one bonus track as the band says – it’s the complete set, in surprisingly intense sound quality. No further introductions needed for UK’s generators of the most disturbing, sarcastic and booze-fueled Noise/Punk disgrace ever conceived on this planet! Insert with rare photos and liner notes by Rich Militia. GO FUCK A HORSE!! Watch the trailer HERE

This special extended version includes a lot of rare extras, most of which have never been published up to now, not even on the massive “Age of vandalism” 4xCD boxset. This is what you’ll find inside:

Complete, uncut Demo ’91 session with lots of unreleased tracks (220!)
Original Demo session (64 tracks)
Unreleased split 7″ with K.S.G. (145 tracks)
Extra unreleased session (15 tracks)

Re-edited and mastered from the band’s tapes. Booklet with photos from that time, scans of the original demo and related flyers, lyrics and extensive liner notes/trivia by Giulio The Bastard. Italy’s most extreme and annihilating Noise/Grind in over 4 decades – this LP captures their most anti-music and annihilating phase when they moved from the early teenage sloppy thrash-punk delirium to a devastating wall of tout court Noisecore inspired by 7 M.O.N., Sore Throat, AxCx, Buka and similar audio terrorists. W.B.I. / TUMOR Split LP (F.O.A.D. 228)

The dream death-match you always wanted to see but never happened before… two of the craziest and most representative bands of the early 90’s German Noise inferno team up together on the ultimate split LP! 56 SONGS of cannibalistic Noise/Grind ear-torture from the classic era 1992-1994. Unreleased sessions from both bands: W.B.I.’s side is the very last recording with Norris on drums (1994) and as they explain: “Up to now it was just dubbed to few close friends” and TUMOR’s side is a lost & found rehearsal (1992) not even included in their monolithic 4xCD discography boxset. Short and crazily fast Noisecore orgy in the sickest Teutonic tradition, quoting Tumor: “An enema with nitroglycerine“!! 12 page booklet with rare photos and an extensive Tumor history written by the band. No riffs, no slowdowns, no fucking music – just brutal, raging NOISECORE at the rawest stage! The absolute feeling of despair, no fun and mental aberration unleashed by the sonic hecatomb of this recording frames the crude and hopeless reality in which it was made, in an extremely impactful way!
