So, this month’s release schedule on F.O.A.D. is over all the imaginable limits of mental insanity. 5 releases, an annihilating cyclone of ’80s Hardcore of the fiercest kind, respectively from Japan, Colombia and Italy. Each of these records has a story of passion, researches and even an incredible travel to the other side of the world, as in the case of HUMAN GAS. Everything that is coming out this month represents for us dreams come true, and for this reason we have focused all our enthusiasm and energy into it… as diehard maniacs of these recordings, it was essential to bring them back to light in the highest form, brutality and attention for details. So it’s time to unleash the madness: HUMAN GASSuper Violence Hardcore 1984-1989” Boxset (Double LP + CD + DVD + book + extra casewrapped box), total discography of this mythological Hokkaidō Hardcore unit, the official reissue of HUMAN GAS / STALI NISM split 7″, probably the rarest Japanese HC 7″ of all the times, v.a. “ESTAMOS EN LA SIMA (1989)” 2xLP, one of the greatest Colombian Hardcore/Punk/Noise compilations for the very first time on vinyl, with 7 raging bands such as ATAQUE DE SONIDO, CRIMEN IMPUNE, DISKORDIA, BASTARDOS SIN NOMBRE, HERPES, DEXKONCIERTO, HP/HC… and then moving to our well tested territory aka the furious Italian Hardcore from the wid bunch days: WRONG BOYSIl suono é distruzione 1982-1984” LP and DISARMO TOTALE1982/1983” LP, two incredible lost and found gems of the rawest and most genuine Italo-core nihilism. Scroll down for extensive reviews to each one of these releases!

Some important things to add: our temptative release date for all these is September 25, please be patient, unexpected after-Covid delays from the pressing plant still may occour. As usual there are ltd. diehard editions for each title, as you’ll notice we increased the quantity of the Human Gas boxset from our usual standards, but anyway you need to act fast.

More in detail about each release:

HUMAN GAS / STALI NISM Split 7″  (F.O.A.D. 209)

Official reissue of  the rarest Japanese Hardcore/Punk 7″ of the ’80s, a true holy grail in every collector’s dreams. The existence of this record has been doubted for years and for some time it has even been removed from Discogs because nobody had evidence of its existence, until a connection with the band members was found. Originally released by the band in 1985, less than 100 copies were pressed and only handed to local friends in the Honbetsu/Obihiro area. What you get here is a pristine replica of the original with the audio sourced from the 1/4″ master reels, same artwork-sleeve, same inserts included. A real treasure from two of the most osbscure and violent Hokkaido Punk units. Human Gas attack with their angry and distorted Hardcore, with early versions of their classic rippers “Poison” and “Question“, Stali Nism, as the name suggests – were mostly influenced by The Stalin and deliver an equally energetic and fast Punk, filled with sincere intensity. Limited to 500 copies, all on black vinyl.  Watch the trailer HERE

HUMAN GAS “Super Violence Hardcore 1984-1989” Boxset (F.O.A.D. 210)

Double LP + CD + DVD + book + extra casewrapped box. A work of love and dedication, the result of an incredible journey from the F.O.A.D. headquarters to a remote country-town in the middle of the Hokkaidō island, northern Japan, to meet the band members and put together the most exhaustive collection of all their available recordings, spanning from 1985 to 1987.  Here you get the ultra-complete discography of HUMAN GAS, including a lot of unreleased material… Musically, this is some of the rawest and most violent Hardcore ever spawned from the darkest lairs of the ’80s Japanese underground. Tracks from the split 7″ with Stali Nism (1985), “Noice and Hardcore” 1st Demo (1986), “Explosives” 2nd Demo (1986), tracks from “Street Punk in Obihiro” Omnibus tape (1986), “Lack luster” 3rd Demo + extra studio songs (1987), unreleased studio jam session with members of Human Gas + Stali Nism + Middle Class (1987).

Plus there’s an extra CD with a soundboard live take from 1986 that sounds killer, assorted live recordings 1986-1987 and an instrumental version of their cult Demo “Explosives“. And to complete the massacre, you’ll also find a DVD with two complete live sets (their only gig in Sapporo, “Bessie Hall“, 1987 and one in Obihiro’s “Rocking Hall“, 1987) showing these raging maniacs in action. 79 TRACKS!! All this mastered from 1st generation sources provided by the band, transferred and restored with total care and attention to detail at Toxic Basement Studio. Trifold jacket housed in a casewrapped outer boxset, 24 page full colored booklet with loads of rare photos, flyers, memorabilia and some brief liner notes put together talking with the band members. Named after a Kuro song, Human Gas were the most destructive and iconic Northern Japan’s answer to the noisy and violent Noise/Punk scene that was growing in the opposite side of the country with bands like Gai, Confuse and Kuro themselves!

Add the fact that their songs were more structured, solid and as the title of this anthology suggests: violent. The Hokkaidō area is definitely one of the most fascinating and mysterious when it comes to early pioneers of the Japanese Hardcore panorama… L.S.D., 畜生, Slang, Tranquillizer, Deef, , F.U.P., Gaizin, Napalm, Noise-Decay and many more were all based there. Human Gas still stands as one of the most respected names for their genuine anger and the highly original and influential musical approach. Watch the trailer HERE

v.a. “ESTAMOS EN LA SIMA (1989)” 2xLP Gatefold  (F.O.A.D. 194)

Quoting the liner notes included in this record: “This recording was made in 1989, in the basement of Alejandro Restrepo’s house (Ex-Tenebrarum), in a neighborhood called “Niquía de Bello” in the suburbs of Medellin, Colombia. […] We hope that this new edition helps to reflect the history of blood and noise we lived back then.” That’s exactly the point: a history of blood and noise portrayed by some of the most angerful and violent realities from the South American underground of the ’80s. What we have here is one of the greatest Colombian Hardcore compilations, right there with “La ciudad podrida” and “Rodrigo D. no futuro“, for the very first time on vinyl getting the deserved F.O.A.D. treatment. ATAQUE DE SONIDO, CRIMEN IMPUNE, DISKORDIA, BASTARDOS SIN NOMBRE, HERPES, DEXKONCIERTO, HP/HC…  7 bands ranging from Noisecore/Punk to classic LatinoAmerican Hardcore and even Grindcore in the case of HERPES, all of them characterized by an incredible amount of rawness and uncompromised fury.

Compiled under direct supervision of the people that put this project together back then, audio restored and mastered from the best sounding sources in existence, from a selection of 5 different first generation tapes that were used to dub copies of the original version. Unreleased bonus tracks on the HP/HC side. Gatefold sleeve, a stunning 20 page full colored booklet with a wide selection of photos and flyers of each band, liner notes. 180 gram vinyl! If you’re into South American Punk/Hardcore at the crudest form, this is a mandatory add on to your collection! All copies pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Watch the trailer HERE

WRONG BOYS “Il suono é distruzione 1982-1984” LP (F.O.A.D. 201)

Raw and pissed off Italian Hardcore/Punk from the furious years! WRONG BOYS started in late 1981 in the small boring city of Broni, nearby Pavia, 1 hr drive from Milano. Because of the provinciality of their area, they didn’t get the deserved recognition, apart from a handful of tracks included in the legendary “Raptus” comp. LP’s on Meccano Records and a few more appearences here and there. Members of this band later moved on to form the Hardcore powerhouse called BLAXFEMA. This LP collects all the WRONG BOYS‘ recordings in existence, starting with their fantastic Demo 1982 recorded at Brown Studio, the same place where RAW POWER did their classic demo 1983!  Then there’s the songs from “Raptus – Negazione e superamento” v.a. LP, “Autogestione!” comp. tape plus 8 unreleased ones (rehearsal 1982 and live) that sound bloody raw and introduce their early steps as a pure Punk band before leaning towards typical Italian HC territories. 4 page full colored insert with rare photos, flyers and original art.

If you’re like us a maniac for the first wave of Italian Hardcore/Punk, this is that kind of sloppy and sincere HC tinged Punk that in some parts recalls bands like Blue Vomit, Rappresaglia, Uart Punk just to mention a few. Limited to 300 copies on 180 gram vinyl!

DISARMO TOTALE “1982/1983” LP (F.O.A.D. 199)

Just when you thought that there was nothing left to unearth from the bloody pit of the 80’s Italian Hardcore… another lost & found gem brought to light by F.O.A.D. Records! DISARMO TOTALE were a shortly lived trio from the area of Ferrara. In the past they were only known in the most inner circles of diehard collectors for their rare demotape that circulated in extremely scarce quantity, probably less than 50. Members of this band later joined IMPACT on the classic “Solo odio” line-up, easily among the 10 best Italian HC records from those years. In recent times they dug from the archives a full live-in-the-studio session made back then that has all their songs performed with unbelievable intensity and good sound quality. Rabid, political Hardcore, 21 tracks combining speed and that very specific vibe that distinguished the Italian bands of that era… roughly, think of a mix of Wretched, Impact, 5° Braccio and some UK Punk influences (Crass, Rudimentary Peni are the first coming to mind when listening).

The audio masters were assembled directly by the band as well as the complete packaging/art, coming with a printed inner sleeve with lyrics and original excerpts/photos of those years. If released back then, this record would be equally worshipped as bands like Eu’s Arse, Underage and Impact themselves, this came as a total surprise to us and it’s guaranteed that if you’re an old school Hardcore maniac you’re going to love it! Limited edition of 300 copies on 180 gram vinyl.  Watch the trailer HERE

AGGRESSION “From the frozen vaults 1984-1986” gatefold LP+CD, NOVEMBER GRIEF “Evil-ution” LP and NOVEMBER GRIEF “To live… in this world of chaos” LP: preorders start NOW!

Posted in Aggression, November Grief, Pre Orders, Releases on July 14th, 2020 by foadmaster2022

Summer begins to hit hard and the heat in our warehouses is turning suffocating, which means that we have to recreate the atmosphere with some equally incendiary releases, to share the hellish dimension we’re sinking in. For the first time in F.O.A.D.‘s long lasting career, we’re exploring Canada to unearth some treasures of their highly acclaimed Metal underworld of the ’80s/’90s and give them the proper F.O.A.D. treatment.

Setting our time machine in the mid ’80s Speed/Thrash meanders that gave birth to legends like Voivod, Razor, Sacrifice and many more, we have decided to put together all the early recordings of AGGRESSION – an immortal, indestructible entity still active today after 37 years (!) and delight you with “From the frozen vaults 1984-1986” LP+CD a collection of everything you need to to own from their demo era enriched by a 36 page full-colored booklet with an infinite variety of photos, flyers, zine excerpts and more. Then jumping forward to the ’90s, we picked some seriously insane Death Metal, NOVEMBER GRIEF, one of the first ever all-female Extreme metal bands together with Derketa and Mythic, and deliver their complete discography on two single LP’s, one containing their “Evil-ution” debut Demo (1994) and one with their second crushing assault “To live… in this world of chaos” + 1 comp. track (both from 1997).

So, preorders for AGGRESSIONFrom the frozen vaults 1984-1986” gatefold LP+CD, NOVEMBER GRIEFEvil-ution” LP and NOVEMBER GRIEFTo live… in this world of chaos” LP are up now via www.scareystore.com  …As always, there are some great looking diehard editions (that funeral purple for November Grief is marvelous), act fast if you want to catch them in time, they won’t last for long!

More in detail about each release:

AGGRESSION “From the frozen vaults 1984-1986” gatefold LP+CD (F.O.A.D. 176)

Canadian Speed/Thrash at its finest! Long time in the works, this retrospective of early AGGRESSION recordings (1984-1986) collects all their demos and promo-tapes released before their debut album “The full treatment“, and adds a bonus CD with a complete, good sounding live set recorded in Quebec, 2/2/1986. Quoting the liner notes by Denis ‘Sasquatch’ included in this anthology: “Five metalheads playing their hearts out without any musical boundaries or restrictions. We were able to do whatever we wanted. And not only musically, we had no rules with an absolute disrespect for laws and society which got us in trouble quite a few times.

Right there in those magical years when bands like Voivod, Razor, Sacrifice, Piledriver were starting to pave the way and Canada was hosting a titanic Metal event such as the World War III Festival, AGGRESSION were spawning their early Thrashing outrages proving to be equally intense and powerful as the previously mentioned pioneers. And to keep up the F.O.A.D. tradition of maniacal attention for detail, this release comes with a gatefold jacket and a massive 36 page fanzine styled booklet with a huge selection of AGGRESSION photos (some exclusive, never seen before ones), flyers, early interviews and memorabilia of all sorts. Watch the trailer HERE

NOVEMBER GRIEF “Evil-ution” LP (F.O.A.D. 203)

Released in conjunction with the vinyl reissue of their other demo, “To live.. in this world of chaos“, “Evil-ution” (1994) was the debut recording of this all-female Death Metal horde from Montreal, Canada, founded in 1993. 7 songs + outro of the most putrid, sickening Death Metal you can picture in your mind. They quote influences like Grave, Bolt Thrower, Immolation, Autopsy, Demigod, Incantation, but on this demo they also tend to lean towards grinding territories or slow down to the most anguished bowel-stenching Doom obscurity.

For the first time on vinyl, remastered from the best source around and sounding better than ever, “Evil-ution” is a hidden gem of rotting Canadian necro-underground that needs to be exhumed and raised on the altar of Death. Layout by Annick Giroux (Temple of Mystery). Watch the trailer HERE

NOVEMBER GRIEF “To live… in this world of chaos” LP  (F.O.A.D. 204)

The band’s second demo and hands down their most brutal and aggressive offering, released in conjunction with their debut “Evil-lution” (1994). One of the earliest all-female Death Metal bands together with Derketa and Mythic. “To live… in this world of chaos” (1997) originally came out on tape, now sold at insane prices and very hard to find, and was later only reissued on CD ltd. to 200 copies. This vinyl version is remastered from the best sounding source in existence and adds 1 studio track taken from the “Awakening – Females In Extreme Music” compilation CD (1997). 9 songs + intro, if “Evil-ution” had all the bases a band needs to deliver the fiercest and most rotting Death Metal the way it has to be, “To live…” nails NG’s style into a deafening storm of darkness and merciless ferocity.  Abyssal atmospheres that range from downtuned doomish horror reminescent of Incantation moving to faster, blasting outbreaks that leave deadly wounds.

Although the band never went further, they remain an important band in the history of Quebec Death Metal, and as already mentioned, one of the first ever all-female Extreme metal bands. This classic Demo had to be brought back to life getting the proper F.O.A.D. treatment, just like “Evil-ution” this is another hidden gem of Canadian necro-underground that needs to be exhumed and raised on the altar of Death. …and then another F.O.A.D. month with 4 x brain-melting Japanese Hardcore/Metal releases! Does this need an introduction? Those of you who have been following us in the last 5-6 years have certainly noticed that it’s almost a tradition for F.O.A.D. – once in a while – to dedicate a whole string of monthly outputs to one of the underground areas that has inspired and amazed us most through the years: JAPAN. It would take long to list them all, anyway so far we’ve consecrated to the noble vinyl format bands like NAPALM, SYSTEMATIC DEATH, TOXIC NOISE, SODOM, The GEROGERIGEGEGE, MUSTANG, GESS, HEDO, ROCKY & THE SWEDEN, Q.O.P., MAD CONFLUX, JUNTESS, SLIP HEAD BUTT, EIEFITS, VULGARITY KIDS, JANKY, 惡AI意 and more!

The criminal 4 chosen for this month are the pioneering Tokyo Death Metal horde MESSIAH DEATH finally getting their full discography out on a deluxe double LP set, Osaka’s high speed Thrash/Hardcore maniacs INZEST with an official reissue of their legendary EP with bonus demo tracks, Sapporo City Hardcore veterans  鎮非羅 (Chinpira) seeing their 3 killer demos finally pressed on vinyl and then… if you thought that F.O.A.D. is all centered on reissueing antiquities buried in the past, you’re wrong – as we always keep an eye open on new interesting revelations from the current scene, and this is the case of the Metal/Punk brigade MILITARY SHADOW of which we’re honored to deliver you the deserved vinyl version of their fantastic new full length “Blood for freedom“.

MESSIAH DEATH “Invocated unholy tracks: the most complete collection of Messiah Death” 2xLP gatefold

Complete discography of these grim and aggressive Japanese Death Metal lunatics! Formed in Tokyo in 1987 on the ashes of Criminal Christ, MESSIAH DEATH stand among the earliest acts to raise the unholy flag of Death Metal in their country along with a handful of bands such as Crucifixion, Beleth, Vexation… considering that Necrophile and Transgressor started a bit later. Their style was originally inspired by classics like Possessed, Death, Slayer but gradually escalated to a much rawer and aggressive Death-thrashing onslaught with echoes of bands like Massacre (US), Morbid Angel, Nihilist combined to influences from the South American school of Mutilator, early Sepultura, Vulcano and so on. This double LP includes the band’s most complete discography to date, with even more tracks than the now hard to find CD collection released in 2013.
Contents:

– “Gore of the crucifix” Demo (1987)

– “Immortal kingdom” Demo (1988)

– “Invocated unholy souls” Demo (1989)

– 鎮非羅 (Chinpira)  “Rebel Noise Hardcore Punk” LP

Sapporo City Hardcore!  Complete discography (1996-1998) collecting their 3 demotapes.. 18 songs! An adrenalinic aggression of traditional Japanese Hardcore fury delivered by local heroes of the SCxHC scene that also played in bands like F.U.P., SHOT GUN, WARSAW, BARRICADE, SLANG and more! If the 80’s are considered by many as the best decade for Punk and Hardcore, it’s a fact that Japan had an equally vital and intense movement in the 90s too, with an endless list of iconic bands and releases. And this is exactly what you’ll notice on this Chinpira discography, there are no weak parts from start to finish, it’s all there… caustic shouts alternated with gang vocals, blazing solos enhancing a solid guitar work at times leaning towards metallic territories and a pummelling rhitmyc section.

If you’re into bands like Nightmare, Death Side, Warhead, Crude and early Slang you’ll find a hidden gem here! And to go hand in hand with the greatness of the audio contents, this LP is enriched by a stunning packaging consisting of 3 booklets!! One is the replica of a very limited mini-zine they used to send together with the 1st demo, the other two contain a crazy amount of photos, original art and interesting details. Special 5mm jacket with OBI strip. Another total must have if you enjoyed the previous Japanese Hardcore works released on F.O.A.D.!  Watch the trailer HERE

The GEROGERIGEGEGE “Piss shower girlfriend” picture LP, SAW THROAT “Indestroy (extended)” 2xLP, SEVEN MINUTES OF NAUSEA “Our conscience will not acclimatise” LP+CD preorders start NOW!!!

Posted in 7 Minutes of Nausea, Gerogerigegege, Pre Orders, Releases, Saw Throat on March 6th, 2020 by foadmaster2022

As many of you have noticed over time, here at F.O.A.D. Records we like to alternate various underground genres, making monthly thematic release lines… there have been months entirely dedicated to Italian Hardcore, others to Japanese, others dedicated to Death/Thrash to the most classic Metal, Punk and so on. An inevitable constant that is part of our most radical and extremist component is our love for Noisecore, and already more than once we have focused entire series of releases on this, as one of our favorite niches.  So for this March 2020 we return to what is well tested ground for us, and each of the bands we are going to talk about already has a story of friendship and continuity with F.O.A.D. specifically, Japan’s noise king Juntaro is a friend who in addition to having already had records out on F.O.A.D. in the past,  has always helped us in putting together projects with other Japanese bands, same goes for Rich Walker, we are at the 4th Sore Throat release and thanks to his help we have been able to bring to light the fantastic boxset/book “Noise not music” by Discharge and then Matthias Weigand (7MON, TNT & Rec, Ecocentric Records) with whom there is a story of collaboration and friendship that has lasted for almost 30 years…

In short, this month’s release schedule it is a bit like working in the family for us, and we are happy to announce the following: The GEROGERIGEGEGEPiss shower girlfriend” picture LP (a totally unreleased album with lost & found recordings from 3 decades ago!), SAW THROATIndestroy” 2xLP gatefold (extended version with 1 extra LP filled with an unreleased rough tape version of this milestone of doomy UK apocalypticore) and SEVEN MINUTES OF NAUSEAOur conscience will not acclimatise” LP+CD (2nd chapter in our series dedicated to early 7MON, this time based on “Your father was a poser…” and the split with AxCx plus plenty of bonus material from the same era). They’re all up for preorders and we’ll never stop in recommending you to act fast if you want to catch the ltd. diehard versions, as always they are expected to finish very quickly.

More in detail:

The GEROGERIGEGEGE  “Piss shower girlfriend” picture LP  (F.O.A.D. 193)

A totally unreleased album with lost & found recordings by the undisputed Japanese ultra-noise master!! Quoting Juntaro himself to let you understand how this whole project started: “And, I’d just found excellent unreleased tape of Gero at home. I can’t remember this recording and date. Date, maybe, the end of ’80 or early ’90. I think you and Gero’ fans really like this recording. Side A for 15min. Side B for 15min. I named this record is… PISS SHOWER GIRLFRIEND!” In front of a message like this we at F.O.A.D. Records certainly could not back down, so here it is.. “Piss Shower Girlfriend” – the first picture disc ever released in Gero’s boundless discography.  Japan’s sickest senzuri noise perversion.

It’s all here, brief song introductions, his typical “1,2,3,4” and then an avalanche of ear-pinching horrorific noise ferocity of the most sheer and annihiliating type topped by lacerating screams…  you are warned! 13 songs in total. Picture disc in strong PVC bag, limited to 400 copies, 200 with fluorescent pink & blue sticker and 200 with fluorescent violet & green sticker. Watch the trailer HERE

SAW THROAT “Indestroy (extended)” 2xLP gatefold + 24 page color book (F.O.A.D. 180)

The ultimate edition of this masterpiece of apocalyptic heaviness! Originally released in 1989 as the band’s third album (considering the fact that Saw Throat is nothing else but a further stage in the legendary Sore Throat saga), and with a marked musical shift towards the more sinister sound of bands like The Swans, Saint Vitus, Amebix and Gore, “Indestroy” was envisaged as a one song concept LP with a lyrical emphasis placed on enviromental issues (3 decades BEFORE the current publicity seeking populism of mainstream popstars and media celebrities pretending to give a fuck about the planet). Improvised and recorded over a period of three weeks, the resulting album become not only the crown jewel in the band’s history, but the final nail in the coffin of them being an ongoing concern as the three core members concentrated on their own bands and all moved on.

However, the reception and cult status has grown over the years. And so, after digging through many old cassettes, the original rough mix instrumental version of the album was located featuring a different running order, and a heavier/more guitar orientated and less polished sound. As a historical artifact, this was the version vocalist Rich listened to while writing all the lyrics the night before he was due to record them. There are also some sound effects and small parts that never made it to the final version. Either way, as one of the last truely great recordings of the 80’s, this as now unheard version of the “Indestroy” album is for the first time made available to the public domain housed in a thick reverse board gatefold jacket with fully restored original artwork, extensive liner notes and a stunning 24 page full colored lyric and artwork booklet. SEVEN MINUTES OF NAUSEA “Our conscience will not acclimatise” LP+CD  (F.O.A.D. 182)

Second chapter in F.O.A.D.‘s annihilating mission to re-issue all the early 7MON material enriched by an incredible amount of rare and unreleased recordings. This LP includes two classic Ep’s from the legendary years when TNT&Records from Germany was putting out on 7″ some of the most classic Noisecore ever landed on this planet… “Your father was a poser… and what’s about you??” (1990) and the split with AxCx (1989) called “We’ll just have to acclimatize ourselves to the post nuclear area“: complete rough tape sessions with a lot of never heard before outtakes added, freshly ripped from Mick’s masters. Straight from the LP liner-notes: “The story behind this LP begun when Matthias Weigand delivered us a huge box of 7MON reels to transfer in the studio, to check exactly what was included in each one of them. We found out that most of them were the masters of the early Eps released by TNT &Records and then Ecocentric Records. When we started to discuss about a possible series of 7MON releases on LP to re-build the band’s discography from the early times, Mick came out with the fact that he had recently unearthed the complete sessions of each EP, that were much longer than how they were originally released on 7″.. (continues)“.

To give you an idea of how longer these sessions are, the split 7″ with AxCx was 6′:35″ on the original TNT&Rec EP, this extended version clocks at 17′:18″ with more than ten minutes of extra noise! The bonus CD includes both the original EP versions transferred straight from the reels with a somehow sharper sound and the extended rough tape edits from Mick’s archives. The total of tracks included on this collection is countless, just think about the fact that the TNT editions had respectively 552 (“Your father was a poser..“) and 241 songs (Split with AxCx), nobody dared to count the complete sessions included here but we’re probably exceeding 2000!! These two legendary sessions shaped a whole genre and countless bands spawned from the “musical” extremism concepted by two Australian guys in the 80’s. If there’s a heaven of Noise, Seven Minutes Of Nausea is surely deserving a place at the top of it. LP with a special PVC sticker on the front cover, bonus CD, square A2 poster with the stunning “Your father was a poser…” art in its original colors and 20 page lyrics booklet!! Watch the trailer HERE

CRIPPLE BASTARDS “Your lies in check” gatefold LP and ARTURO “Giorni lontani 1992-1998” LP+CD: preorders start NOW!!

Posted in Arturo, Cripple Bastards, Pre Orders, Releases on January 7th, 2020 by foadmaster2022

Are you ready for a new year completely flooded with F.O.A.D. releases? We have tons of interesting works in the pipeline, and as a start for January 2020 we’ll take you back to the ’90s with two classic Italian bands that have meant a lot for both their local scene and for what they developed (and still represent today) on an international scale. It’s the case of CRIPPLE BASTARDS, of which we’re honored to present a top notch re-issue of their debut full length “Your lies in check“, a true masterpiece of DIY Grindcore/Punk made of short and hateful tracks exploding at the speed of light, and the Torino Hardcore heroes ARTURO, with a total anthology of their early works (1992-1998) with Alfo on vocals, which means an irrepressible waterfall of energetic stop&go HC made of memorable riffs and a ballistic rhythm section.

Two bands that have crossed their paths for some time, in fact from 1996 to early 1997 Arturo’s drummer Paolo played in CB (in their post-“Your lies in check” phase) and even Arturo’s bass player Stefano joined CB for some gigs, the most memorable being those with Doom and Dropdead. So, to get back to the point, CRIPPLE BASTARDSYour lies in check” gatefold LP and ARTUROGiorni lontani 1992-1998” LP+CD are up for preorders. As usual there are some limited colored/splatter vinyl versions and we recommend you to act fast if you want to catch them, they won’t last for long.

The official release date for both is January 21st 2020

More in detail..:

CRIPPLE BASTARDS “Your lies in check” gatefold LP (F.O.A.D. 186)

The debut full length by Italy’s hate-filled Grindcore masters available again in a top quality edition! Originally recorded in 1995 and released in 1996, “Your lies in check” is a 69 song tornado of ultra-violent Grindcore/Punk blasting at the speed of light! Quoting an older review of the album: “With no shadow of doubt a milestone in Italian Grind/Hardcore and an important release also if seen on an international view. Over 7.000 copies sold if you sum the different LP+CD+MC versions around. Sixty-nine songs of pure hate in fourty-nine minutes. Grindcore of vile screams, guttural bellows and a lot of yelling. Music that is short, fast and to the point. Slow parts that are heavy and dirgey, showing no signs of fun. Superfast Hatecore/Grind with a rocking Punk edge unique in its kind. Includes over the top anthems (Italia di merda, Stimmung, Prospettive limitate, 1974, Padroni, Images of war / Images of pain..) covered by plenty of bands worldwide.” Watch the trailer HERE

ARTURO “Giorni lontani 1992-1998” LP+CD  (F.O.A.D. 173)

Torino, Northern Italy, is with no trace of doubt one of the areas that gave birth to some of the most important Italian Hardcore bands of all eras… NEGAZIONE, DECLINO, CONTR-AZIONE, 5# BRACCIO, ROUGH just to mention a few. And the great thing about this city is that all this did not only last in the ’80s but had a solid continuation in the decades to follow.  Bands like ARTURO, CRUNCH, FRAMMENTI, BELLI-COSI, C.O.V. took the legacy of the giants that came before and ruled the ’90s reinventing Hardcore with creativity, passion and a flash of genius in song-writing. ARTURO were certainly the fastest and those that have been more pristine in sticking to the total Hardcore formula, especially in their early years with Alfo on vocals. So this anthology is all focused on that time, the early years of one of the most furious Italian Hardcore bands of the Nineties… fast, top adrenalinic Hardcore that gives no time to breathe from start to finish!

It includes their debut CD “Ar-cor” (1995), the two Ep’s “Isterico” (1997) and “Topo volante” (1998) plus a bonus CD with the impossible to find first demo and an unreleased soundboard live at El Paso (Torino), 1996 opening for CRIPPLE BASTARDS (actually at that time ARTURO shared their drummer and bass-player with CB!).  63 songs of manic fast TORINO HC!!! Double insert with lyrics, original artworks and photos. Watch the trailer HERE
