Back from a frantic summer with many festivals and the madness of 8 FOAD releases in 3 months, here we are again with a triple bloodbath of pure mindblowing Hardcore from Japan and Sweden!! Our legacy with the Scandicore masters ASOCIAL keeps strong as we are releasing their 3rd and final chapter that completes the reissues of their 80s/90s discography, and then a big surprise… their brand new album freshly recorded in spring 2017 right after some killer comeback shows that totally destroyed! And moving to the Far East, as you’ve seen in the past few years, we always keep an eye open on Japanese Hardcore and the immense underground of obscure treasures still hidden there… This time we chose to unearth the VULGARITY KIDS, a thrashing HC unit that delivered just one 8″ flexi back in 1987 that according to us is a little classic in its style. VULGARITY KIDS “s/t“  LP (F.O.A.D. 135)

Another gem of obscure ’80s Japanese Hardcore on F.O.A.D. Records.  Hailing from the area of Utsunomiya, Tochigi, this shortly lived outfit delivered the traditional sound of fast, no frills Japanese Hardcore of the late 80s that at times recalls the early Systematic Death EPs and 12″. This LP (silk screened on side B) collects their hard to find flexi 8″ on Asia Record recorded in 1987 and a song from “Enjoy your youth by this Hardcore sampler” mastered from the original reels and gets released in time for their comeback show in memory of their former guitarist Moochin that passed away 30 years ago in fall 1987. Comes with special OBI strip, a fanzine styled booklet with liner notes, photos and flyers.

VULGARITY KIDS are yet another proof that when it comes to Japanese Hardcore you don’t have to strictly focus only on the classic names because there is an endless panorama of demos, rare records and obscurities that hides some very high quality bands. It’s an interesting challenge for us to unearth them and bring them back to light on releases like this!

The third and final installment that completes the ASOCIAL vinyl reissues to make their entire 1982-1994 easily available for all you Scandicore psychos. This LP collects the following: “How could Hardcore be any worse” (split tape with The Bedrövlers, 1984… THEIR FASTEST RECORDINGS EVER!) plus some extra unreleased stuff, songs from “Hardcore for the masses” and “Attack is now suicide” v.a. LPs (both from 1988), the “House of gore” 7″ (1992) and their songs from “Distortion to hell” v.a. CD (1994). All this stuff has been mastered from the original reels and mastertapes.

Another hidden gem of traditional Japanese Hardcore on F.O.A.D. Records! Originally self-released on CD back in 1991 and now for the first time on vinyl, this spectacular album has all the features of an early 90s Japanese HC classic: rage, speed, introspective lyrics and an astonishing guitar work made of catchy riffs and some of the most memorable solos of the time, all this backed by a really solid production.  After delivering this great full length and few 7″s the band broke up, some members went on playing with other legendary acts such as Liberate, Crow, Hazard and more.  Specially remastered for vinyl, housed in a gatefold LP including lyrics, flyers, artworks of the time.  Recommended if you like Death Side, Bastard, Poison Arts, Nightmare and other classic Japanese HC ragers of that kind.

Formed in Mexico D.F. in 1987 from the same background that gave birth to noisy HC terrorists such as M.E.L.I., Massacre 68, Xenofobia, Sedicion, GPK… Atoxxxico probably stands as the most recognized outfit from that deranged scene. This special release to celebrate their 30th year anniversary includes the complete early “TV Demo 1988“, the Demo 1993 recorded in LA, 6 songs recorded live in D.F. in 1989 and an identical reproduction of their rare “Punks de mierda” 7″ (1987) a classic of raw aggressive Mexican HC very sought after by collectors. This anthology includes 38 songs of fast and angry latinoamerican Hardcore at its best. Specially mastered for vinyl from the best sounding sources provided by the band, housed in a thick gatefold sleeve with 12 page booklet including tons of photos, flyers and original artworks, plus the “Punks de mierda” EP made exactly as the original, with A4 lyrics insert.

As we’re approaching the end of June, the time is finally coming for our open air summer festival “United as one Part. 3“, with exclusive Italian appearences by D.R.I., Wehrmacht, General Surgery, Deafness By Noise also keeping the spotlight on local heroes such as Slander and First Brawl. The first of them is not just another F.O.A.D. release, it’s the celebration of the 50th birthday of a friend, a great source of inspiration for thousands of maniacs and a diehard underground pioneer of the Scandinavian Metal scene: no one else by Jon “Metalion” of the legendary SLAYER mag! To make this anniversary special, we decided to release on LP the ultra rare rehearsal of MÖRBIT – the real MORBID tribute, a special band featuring members of WATAIN, NIFELHEIM, DISMEMBER, MERCILESS and ENTOMBED playing MORBID classics in a totally cursed and ominous mood, with a touch that only such titans of the Swedish Black/Death Metal scene can deliver. The second sonic crime of the month consolidates the inexhaustible bond between FOAD and the absolute masters of LA based Grindcore, the Terrorizer / Nausea / Majesty family! 2 years ago, during a short stay in LA, we visited our friend Carlos “Cosmo” Reveles, bass player in Majesty, Nausea and Terrorizer LA and found this obscure and virtually non-existent tape of UNKNOWN DEATH, the band that Oscar Garcia and Jesse Pintado had shortly before starting the legend that we all know. We brought the tape to Italy and after restoring and mastering it at Toxic Basement we discussed about a very limited vinyl release… so here it is, a super-rarity that only a handful of lucky tape traders has heard since now finally available on vinyl in the best possible sound quality. UNKNOWN DEATH “Demo 1987” LP, 12 tracks of crude raw Death Metal clearly inspired by “Scream bloody gore” era DEATH (they even have a song called “Beyond my infernal grave“.. reminds you of something?). This is limited to 300 copies, 200 on black and 100 on clear beer-yellow vinyl.

In 2011 the Swedish Black Metal cult MORBID released the gigantic sampler “YEAR OF THE GOAT“. To celebrate that a very special band was put together in order to perform some MORBID classics live for a selected audience. The band went under the name MÖRBIT and consisted of legendary musicians of the Swedish Extreme Metal scene. Erik of WATAIN on vocals, Tyrant of NIFELHEIM on bass, David of DISMEMBER on guitar, Erik of MERCILESS on guitar and Stjärnvind on drums (ENTOMBED, MERCILESS etc.). The night before the actual concert the band had a final rehearsal at the WATAIN’s “wolf lair” which also was the funeral for Metalion’s SLAYER MAGAZINE. Now a few years later METALION turns 50 and in order to celebrate this unholy event it was decided between all members and of course MORBID & METALION to release a really rare recording of the final rehearsal before the gig the day after. UNKNOWN DEATH, one of the first bands previously had by legendary grindcore masters Oscar Garcia and Jesse Pintado, before Peter Sandoval joined forces. Before Pete there was a local drummer, Fish Perez who’d been a friend in the L.A. scene for several years. With heavy influences in the likes of Death, Bathory, Venom, early Napalm Death, etc., Unknown Death began making noise in the mid 80’s in any downtown warehouse that would house them. During this period they recorded their debut 12 song demo tape, self-titled UNKNOWN DEATH which was well received locally. Unknown Death seldom played at this point, rehearsals began to dwindle, and members became laxed. A short time later during a missed rehearsal by Fish, Pete was brought to Unknown Death’s rehearsal by a mutual friend and was asked to jump in on drums. Immediately after, Oscar & Jesse knew they had found a drummer to equal their raw talent and energy. Shortly thereafter, Unknown Death would split due to differences and TERRORIZER would be born to become one of the most influential bands in grindcore history ….  Before TERRORIZER, before NAUSEA, before MAJESTY, experience the ultra raw Death Metal aggression of LA’s UNKNOWN DEATH!! Freshly ripped from the best sounding tape provided by band members, restored and mastered for vinyl at Toxic Basement Studio.
