Finally it’s time to unleash the last batch of F.O.A.D. releases for 2023. In the past twelve months we managed to put out 52 RELEASES (44 on vinyl, 3 on CD, 4 on MC and 1 book)!!! This is our all-time highest result, exceeding by far all our expectations. We look forward to the next year as a chance to improve ourselves and set the bar higher, even if it will surely be a very difficult goal, considering the insane pace we kept! Now back to the records…
As told before, this month was totally dedicated to some hardcore classics. We got into the most dangerous streets of DF, Mexico, to resurrect the complete recordings of SS-20, one of the most iconic and genuine female fronted Latin American bands ever, channeled into three LPs filled with raw, noisy and snotty punk hardcore. Then we got into ultra-fast territories with Atavistic, an often forgotten Britcore gem, with a double LP set which gathers their early recordings, a full throttle blasting galore of British brutality. Last but not least, we released a new version of Siege discography. There is not much to say
about this.. one of the most reverred and important extreme records of all time, the list of bands influenced by them is endless. The definition of “classic”.

The complete discography of this cult female-fronted Mexican chaos punk band spread across 3 LP’s including their entire discography enriched by unreleased material and extremely rare sessions… Mastered from Zappa Punk’s personal cassette archives after a complex restoration process that took years! Raging, crude hardcore punk from the toughest streets of D.F. in the ’80s.. Each LP comes with a fanzine styled booklet with biographical details, photos, Zappa’s drawings and scans of the original releases.

Here we are at the last round of pre-orders of 2023! We haven’t yet taken stock and made an accurate calculation but hands down we can already tell you that this was the year with the most releases in the history of the label. Having a pace like this is truly an incredible sacrifice, a real death-race… needless to add that we’ll do everything to keep a similar if not higher standard for next year too… As you have seen, this has been a year full of surprises, and next it won’t be any different: consider that we already have more than 15 releases ready to be sent into production and at least as many in progress. But let’s get back to us, after a November completely dedicated to super-speeds and the most aberrant noise/grind extremism, this month we are completely focused on some 80’s hardcore classics (still keeping things on ultra-fast blasting territories in most cases), respectively from Mexico, UK and USA. After being in the works for years, we are pleased to announce a series of 3 x separate LP’s that reconstruct the total discography of Mexico’s chaospunk legends SS-20 at the best possible sonic quality, each enriched with a lot of bonus material, deluxe booklets and in short everything that you expect from F.O.A.D. editions. The wait is over and two of the most anticipated and announced F.O.A.D. releases since we started it all are finally ready to ship. Yes, INSECT WARFARE “Entomological siege 2004/2009” Boxset (3xLP+DVD and 2xCD+DVD) and SIEGE “Drop dead” 2xLP gatefold are out now!! The amount of preorders that we received for these has been unreal, so please be patient, we usually send all orders on the exact date that we release them but in this case it will take at least 2-3 extra weeks to get it all sorted out. Consider the fact that we have a limitation on the number of packages that we can ship daily because we have repeatedly clogged the local postal warehouses with indescribable quantities of packages and Mbags, so we have to stick to a certain number of units to be mailed daily. We’re finally approaching July, a crucial month at F.O.A.D. Records as it coincides with the Obscene Extreme Festival… we always have a special string of releases planned to be premiered at what we repute the best extreme festival on Earth.
