Here we are again, as anticipated – there were no F.O.A.D. releases in July, we took a month off to take care of all the orders related to the gigantic AxCx boxset and to tidy up our workspaces a bit. However, we had promised to return with a bloody blast, and we’re practically back with the same insanity with which we left off, because this month too is not for the weak. There’s some Noisecore again – with a manic collection of rare early works by our favorite German psychopaths W.B.I., but above all there’s an avalanche of ruthless grindcore – with 3 bands that really made the history of the genre. On the Gore/Grind side we are finally pleased to reissue all the early day recordings of the Swedish gods REGURGITATE, after almost 3 years of negotiations to get to this result. It had been a long time since a well done reissue of “Effortless regurgitation of bright red blood” had been seen and the one on PIU, in addition to having become expensive and difficult to find, was not a standalone album but a sort of incomplete compilation of assorted recordings.

Finally here you get “Effortless regurgitation…” alone as it was in its first version on Lowland in 1994. And in addition we decided to create a separate LP with the infamous “Torture sessions” which is a collection of RGTE demos and singles from 1991 to 1993.  Both available on LP and MC. A quick update on what has been going on in the last few months… as many of you are most likely aware, there are currently severe issues affecting the vinyl manufacturing process on a worldwide scale. Not only are the increasingly extended waiting times an issue, but also the limited availability of source materials, as worsening Covid scenarios around the globe slow down the production of raw vinyl material and its transport to pressing plants. This said, most of our planned release dates have been pushed back by approx 2 months. In the time since our last vinyl outputs (June) we have worked stubbornly to fix this situation and we’re glad to say that from September onwards we’ll be perfectly in line with the set deadlines and there will be no more empty months. As you can imagine we have a lot of irons in the fire and we don’t want to sit still for reasons beyond our will. And waiting for the kraken that we’re about to unleash in September we did not want to leave you empty-handed even in August, so we have decided to fill this waiting phase with 3 x CD releases …and following the many requests, we have picked up two classic bands from our back-catalog: TERRORIZER and POISON! The recent upgraded vinyl reissue of TERRORIZER “Before the downfall 1987-1989” has been wiped out in few weeks, so why not making it available again on a deluxe 2xCD digipack set, same story with POISON‘s best sounding version of their classic “Into the abyss“, or better “Into the abyss – resurrected“, previously only available on LP and sold out very quickly… here’s another chance to get it, for the first time on a CD only version. POISON “Into the abyss- Resurrected” CD (F.O.A.D. 162/CD)

POISON‘s infernal cult is alive!! Just when you thought that it was all said and done with F.O.A.D.‘s monster-work “Hoelle und vernichtung” (a colossal boxset including the band’s complete discography), the wizard of darkness and evil Uli Hildenbrand unearthed from his rotting vaults a lost & found mastertape of “Into the abyss” transfered directly from the studio reels back in 1987, unlike all the previously existing re-issues that were all taken from the 1st vinyl pressing. This version is the most pristine and faithful to the original studio recordings you can think of, sounding farly better than any other version around. Pure infernal armageddon from one of the most ancient pioneering Black/Death Metal hellhounds of the mittel-European scene of the 80’s. Originally recorded in 1986, released on tape in 1987 and then 6 years later on vinyl/LP by Median Creations, “Into the abyss” is the only real studio recording of this Teutonic blasphemic horde and hands down their most powerful production, considering that all the previous demos were rough DIY recordings made in their practice space.

What you will find on this masterpiece is pummeling and barbaric death/thrash metal with plenty of early black metal elements from their earlier works. The progress this band had made in less then a year of their previous recording is remarkable, but at the same time, when looking at each demo in chronological order, you see a steady progression in their sound from recording to recording, so seeing the band improve this much should not really be a shocker. “Into the abyss” is essential for anyone even remotely into brutal, vicious 80’s death/thrash, as well as old school black metal and the mid-late 80’s proto-death metal sound. POISON “Full ’86 live set in rehearsal” CD (F.O.A.D. 243)

Previously only included in the “Hoelle und vernichtung” discography vinyl boxset (now completely sold out) this total cult session is finally back, for the first time on CD! Raw, punishing Black/Thrash from one of Germany’s oldest and most influential hordes of darkness and evil! A blood-drenching set featuring all their classic anthems in the crudest form plus some hidden gems that haven’t been included on their demos and album.

Quoting Uli Hildenbrand himself: “The best complete recording of a POISON Live set in decent quality (sound and performance-wise), done in our rehearsal room but with somewhat better equipment and -of course- remastered in the most effective way by F.O.A.D. and yours truly! It was recorded in November 1986 in preparation of our first (and only) studio session planned for the end of December, when we were still trying to figure out which of the songs we would eventually record in the studio. Here we are, we’ve reached the end of the year and this is our last announcement for 2020. Despite the very hard times in a year that for everyone has been a nightmare both on the working and existential factor, we’re glad to say that we’re closing this sort of blind-ride in a minefield with 26 RECORDS RELEASED in 2020, that for how things went, it’s really a miracle. As usual, we want to thank from the bottom of our hearts all those who have supported us in any way… from the bands that gave us the opportunity to release their music, to our network of friends/collectors/maniacs that always come up with valuable advices and useful sources to complete our works, and above all YOU for believing in our efforts and getting our records –  giving us the chance to go forward on this path, strong and determined. And as you’ll see, 2021 is all going to be an escalation of insanity, our schedule is already completely full and it includes countless gems that we can’t wait to announce.. so get ready!

Atrocious cacophonic Thrash at the rawest form!! The debut demo 1986 from this devastating Brazilian unit for the first time on vinyl. If you’re expecting the ballistic, well-trained assault of their latter works this is a completely different beast: what you get here is an utterly rough, radical overdose of Thrash in its most primordial shape, a pure outburst of chaotic violence forged in the early days of the South American Death/Thrash explosion. Most of the stuff included consists in embryonic versions of songs re-arranged and re-recorded on their s/t first full length (1987), what makes the difference on “Children’s assassin” is a total DIY caveman recording and a sonic approach that leans more towards a filthy, blackened Metal territory and at times reminds of some pioneering Colombian Ultra-Metal warriors.

Raging Yokohama City Hardcore from the early ’90s!! Complete discography including the split Ep with 消化不良, split EP with Damnable Excite Zombies, songs from 6 different compilations and the rare 1994 Demo for a 7″ that never came out. 18 songs of uncompromised fury with all the features that make a Japanese Hardcore band unique: drums running at thrashin’ fast speeds, blazing spirited solos and absolutely outstanding vocals at times reminding of early Agnostic Front! This LP gives the right spot on to a great band from a city that has always released legendary bands… SYSTEMATIC DEATH, PILE DRIVER, MAD CONFLUX, RAISE CAIN and many more… Their guitarist is now active in the insane Thrash/HC unit GARYU!
