HELLWITCH “Syzygial miscreancy” Double LP, ED and MINKIONS CD’s: pre-orders open now on FOAD Records
FOAD Records’ team is thrilled to enter the new season announcing 3 new stunning releases available now on pre-order. We chose September 15th as release date because FOAD Records’ will take part with a colossal record-stand at Italy’s Rock Hard Festival 2012 (MARDUK, BULLDOZER, ARTILLERY, ASSASSIN, RAW POWER, IMMOLATION, EXUMER and tons more!) so no date can fit better than this for our triple Death/Thrash/Hardcore release party. And this what we are going to introduce at the festival and what you can find available on pre-order from now:
HELLWITCH “Syzygial miscreancy + demos” Double LP (FOAD 035)
Re-issue of Florida’s technical Thrashing Death pioneers’ most popular recordings. “Syzigial miscreancy” recorded at Morrisound Studios by Scott Burns originally came out in 1990 on Wild Rags and hasn’t been repressed on vinyl since then. This double LP is also adding all the extra demo material (1984-1989) featured on the latter CD remaster on Displeased and some rare unreleased live tracks from the Syzigial times. Totally repackaged in a high glossy laminated gatefold with rare photos, flyers, lyrics and a detailed biography. Hellwitch, along with Atheist and Death, among several others, stumbled onto a new (for 1990) style of extreme metal…with incredible results. “Syzigial miscreancy” is just so far-out and well-made for 1990, and even by today’s standards, that it deserves to be held in the highest regard and treated with the utmost respect, as it was bands like Hellwitch who truly advanced the development of extreme (and technical) death metal. 22 songs, officially licenced by Displeased Records.

MINKIONS “Distorted pictures from distorted reality” CD (FOAD 037)
Italian splatter Thrashing-core kings finally deliver us their devastating bone crunching first full length! It’s rare to see a band of today being released on FOAD Records, as we basically think that most of the crap around these days is just a pandemic display of the increasing death of music, attitude and true underground spirit.. so if we chose MINKIONS, there is a special reason! This record brings us back to what our label is all about, the good old times when Thrash and Hardcore were often melting together in a blood-pit of tight, face punching what-the-fuck-core aggression leaving you breathless and pleasantly floored from the first song to the last, and begging for more! This incredible release is also available on vinyl via Czech Republic’s Doomentia Records, our CD edition comes with a special foldout cover including lyrics and a total Accüsed addicted artwork! So there you go, you do now know the score: raging thrash/speedcore the 80’s way, full of two minutes blast, freaky lyrics about getting fucked up and the kind of insane mosh parts that even your senile grandma won’t be able to resist, ‘Distorted Pictures From A Distorted Reality’ doesn’t fuck around and goes straight into the pit. So what are you waiting for to join the party damn it??

ED “Future primitive + old shit since 2003” CD (FOAD 038)
Another hidden treasure of blistering Italian Hardcore seeing the light on FOAD Records! Somebody said “Bologna skate punk thrashers on acid playing classic fast Italian hc meets old California punk meets Bay Area thrashcore, those guys were in fantastic BANxTHIS!” ..and no description can give a better portrait. Take the rocking energy and precision of RKL, Accüsed, Verbal Abuse and try to imagine how would it sound if crossovered with a touch of italian HC a la Indigesti. 43 song discography including their brand new studio album “Future primitive” and adding the previous “Nailed to the board” 12″MLP, plus all their EP’s and demo trax. Starting with their most recent output, this release drives you into a brakeless ride through 9 years of furious fucked up bursts rarely clocking over 2 minutes, showing how ED have progressed from direct simple Hardcore in the Italian old school tradition (the early stuff reminds of Arturo in their 90s highlights and once again, Indigesti) to the current days’ Skate Thrashcore Punk with knee-splitting tempo changes, pummeling tight drumming and freaking great riffs. Comes with a 8 page booklet including lyrics and all artworks from the various releases collected. Hands down one of the best Italian HC bands of these days.
