Posted in Attomica, Dominus Xul, Releases, Terrorizer (L.A.) on December 22nd, 2020 by foadmaster2022

Here we are, we’ve reached the end of the year and this is our last announcement for 2020. Despite the very hard times in a year that for everyone has been a nightmare both on the working and existential factor, we’re glad to say that we’re closing this sort of blind-ride in a minefield with 26 RECORDS RELEASED in 2020, that for how things went, it’s really a miracle. As usual, we want to thank from the bottom of our hearts all those who have supported us in any way… from the bands that gave us the opportunity to release their music, to our network of friends/collectors/maniacs that always come up with valuable advices and useful sources to complete our works, and above all YOU for believing in our efforts and getting our records –  giving us the chance to go forward on this path, strong and determined. And as you’ll see, 2021 is all going to be an escalation of insanity, our schedule is already completely full and it includes countless gems that we can’t wait to announce.. so get ready!

As anticipated, we’re closing the year with a wicked triad: TERRORIZERBefore the downfall 1987-1989” 2xLP+CD (new edition), DOMINUS XULThe Primigeni Xul” Gatefold LP and ATTOMICAChildren’s assassin” LP. They’re all out now and ready to ship.  A good part of your preorders has been sent already, the last batch will leave after Xmas. Please keep in mind that in the next few weeks the postal system may be a little congested, so be patient and give to your order the time to be delivered. The diehard decayed green vinyl version of TERRORIZER is completely sold out on preorder, act fast if you want to catch the ltd. colored ones of DOMINUS XUL and ATTOMICA because there aren’t many left.

More in detail:

TERRORIZER “Before the downfall 1987-1989” 2xLP+CD (new edition!) F.O.A.D. 069

3rd reissue of this total Grindcore classic on F.O.A.D. Records, finally back in stock in a new, upgraded version with 1 extra song (“Funeral bitch” – Master cover) that was accidentally missing in the previous editions, and exclusive A2 poster. Quoting OSCAR GARCIA: “This is the first and the only true release of Terrorizer LA demos ever captured on vinyl, not a low quality bootleg but an official release, none better than to have it all on FOAD Records. Awesome collection for any Terrorizer fan!” The ultimate early years’ anthology from LA’s godfathers of GRIND, the one and only… TERRORIZER! This monsterwork starts off with “Collapse“, a completely unreleased song from the “World downfall” studio session unearthed from the band’s secret archives… next is an alternative take of their split tape with NAUSEA (1988) that sounds like machine-gun fire in the face and then you can enjoy all their existing demos and early works in astonishingly great sound quality, mastered with total audiophile passion from the best sounding sources in existence!!

Some of these recordings are the reason why Shane Embury of Napalm Death back in his tape-trading days got completely crazy for them and persuaded Earache to sign them and bring to light “World downfall” (when the band was already on hiatus). “Countless blast warriors still strive for this classic sound and catchy song structure, but no one can match it on Oscar Garcia’s pitch(less) caveman growl! This is the perfect storm of incredible songwriting and recording quality” (Scott Hull of Pig Destroyer / Agoraphobic Nosebleed about “World downfall“).  46 SONGS of bulldozing L.A. Grindcore with a solid Death Metal imprint, all the classics you want to hear included! Watch the trailer HERE

* Deluxe Gatefold 2xLP with different colors than the previous versions
* silkscreened print on side D
* Fixed bonus CD with 1 extra song (“Funeral bitch” – Master) accidentally not appearing on the previous versions
* 16 page booklet featuring extensive interviews, loads of never-seen-before photos, scans of old flyers, demo artworks and more!

– Solid black vinyl limited to 300 copies

DOMINUS XUL “The Primigeni Xul (I condemned my enemies)” gatefold LP F.O.A.D. 214

Official reissue of this cult Chilean Death Metal masterpiece, for the first time on vinyl!! Originally released in 1999 and only circulated through hard to find CD/tape versions, this hidden gem has quickly become a monument to apocalyptic obscurity sought after by true Death Metal enthusiasts. Few bands around have been able to recreate the ominous, sulphuric atmosphere of the most classic Incantation works… DOMINUS XUL is one of the most genuine answers to that breed of darkness and does it in a totally inspired and uncompromised way, alternating deadly blasting raids to rotting, slow paced doom-tinged breakdowns…

This version finally makes justice to this melting pot of South American malignancy, pressed on 180 gram vinyl and housed in a high glossy gatefold jacket with lyrics insert. Watch the trailer HERE

Available in two different versions:

– Diehard red/blue swirl vinyl limited to 100 copies

– Solid black vinyl limited to 200 copies

ATTOMICA “Children’s assassin” LP + booklet  F.O.A.D. 213

Atrocious cacophonic Thrash at the rawest form!! The debut demo 1986 from this devastating Brazilian unit for the first time on vinyl. If you’re expecting the ballistic, well-trained assault of their latter works this is a completely different beast: what you get here is an utterly rough, radical overdose of Thrash in its most primordial shape, a pure outburst of chaotic violence forged in the early days of the South American Death/Thrash explosion. Most of the stuff included consists in embryonic versions of songs re-arranged and re-recorded on their s/t first full length (1987), what makes the difference on “Children’s assassin” is a total DIY caveman recording and a sonic approach that leans more towards a filthy, blackened Metal territory and at times reminds of some pioneering Colombian Ultra-Metal warriors.

Full colored A4 booklet with an extensive choice of rare photos from the band’s beginning, flyers and memorabilia. Limited edition of 300 copies on 180 gram vinyl.  Watch the trailer HERE

Available in two different versions:

– Diehard “nuclear fire” red/orange swirl vinyl limited to 100 copies

Solid black vinyl limited to 200 copies

ATROCITY “Infected + early demos” Gatefold 2xLP + insert (F.O.A.D. 205)

Smashing in your fucking skull, like a ripe fruit – Brain begins to haemorrage, it’s breaking at the root“!! The grinding masterpiece “Infected” by Connecticut’s sonic butchers ATROCITY turns 30 and gets a special quality centered re-release on F.O.A.D. Records, enriched by an extra LP featuring two early Demotapes (1986-1987)! These blood-thirsty maniacs were responsible for some of nastiest Death/Grind, perfectly combining the unmatched intensity of the ’80s US Death Metal tradition with terrifying old school Grindcore fury. The first comparison that comes to mind when “Infected” starts to rip your turntable to shreds is obviously REPULSION! This double LP includes an extended version of “Infected” adding a bonus alternate version of the song “Infected” that was only included on their “Hatred birth” EP and their two demos “Toxic death” (1987) and “Ravaged by disease” (1987). 32 SONGS of gut-mangling Death/Grind brutality! Housed in a gatefold jacket displaying rare photos and original artworks, also including an insert with zine excerpts and an interesting interview focused on the band’s early years. Watch the trailer HERE

If we were to rank our favorite Belgian demos of that era, “The end” is undoubtedly in the top five with its nonstop fast, raw and desecrating delivery. And to complete the F.O.A.D. quality-treatment this LP comes with a massive full colored booklet filled with rare photos, flyers, memorabilia and biographical notes. Watch the trailer HERE

X-CRETA “We will thrash you!! Demos & Live 1984-1986” LP+CD+insert (F.O.A.D. 207)

A killing collection of rare X-CRETA recordings (demos, rehearsals and live) prior to their smashing debut full length “Patronizing the Heterodox“. Formed in 1983, these Belgian Thrashcore gunners were responsible for some of the fiercest, stripped down, and energetic type of Crossover/Thrash, not far removed from the early releases by Voivod, but faster. At the top of their riff driven assault, some of the sickest vitriolic vocals around at the time, think of the sickest clash between Kreator‘s Mille Petrozza and Sid Migx of CCM. This F.O.A.D. anthology traces the early steps of the band starting from the primordial, pure Hardcore approach on their demo 1984 “13 recepten voor en hersenbloeding” and song from “Alle 55 kort” – both sounding quite close to their legendary country fellows Zyklome-A – and moving to the solid Speed/Thrashcore assault that followed with their demo 1985, “We will thrash you!!“. All the stuff included has been sourced from extremely rare tapes provided by our inner circle of friends-collectors and scrupulously remastered to keep the original rawness and intensity.  Bonus CD with live rehearsals, insert with photos, flyers and original tapes’ art. Watch the trailer HERE

Posted in Atrocity, Pre Orders, Releases, Tyfoon, X-Creta on November 10th, 2020 by foadmaster2022

The F.O.A.D. thrash-tank is ready to claim new victims! We left you with our September blast of 5x releases, decided to leave an empty month to take a breathe and ship all preorders, now we’re back with a completely different beast… two lost and found European Speed/Thrash-core gems, both from a country that had not yet entered our archives… Belgium, and the 30th year anniversary reissue of a Death/Grind milestone, repackaged in a special extended version with a lot of extra stuff.

We’re talking of ATROCITYInfected + early demos” 2xLP gatefold, the ultimate edition of this US grinding Death masterpiece enriched by an additional LP with the band’s first two demos (“Toxic death” and “Ravaged by disease“) and.. on the above-mentioned Belgian front, an exhaustive anthology of early X-CRETA recordings called “We will thrash you! Demos & Live 1984-1986” LP+CD, showing the band’s evolution from their pure Hardcore roots to the vicious Speed/Thrash/Crossover that brought them to the classic full length “Patronizing the heterodox” and then TYFOON… if we were to rank our favorite Belgian demos of the ’80s, “The end” is undoubtedly in the top five with its nonstop fast, raw and desecrating assault. A friend helped us to get in touch with the band and the result is: “Criminal death – discography 1987-1992” LP collecting their two and only demotapes, merciless Death/Thrash delivered with mind-blowing intensity and aggression.  So, to sum things up:  ATROCITYInfected + early demos” gatefold 2xLP, TYFOONCriminal death – discography 1987-1992” LP and X-CRETAWe will thrash you!! Demos & Live 1984-1986” LP+CD are available on preorder. The official release date is November 23rd, 2020.  All these releases are pressed on 180 gram vinyl and as always there are some limited colored vinyl versions, the “rotting bowels” green/orange splatter for ATROCITY looks totally wicked! We strongly recommend you to act fast if you want to catch these colored diehard versions as they always get sold out quickly.

HUMAN GAS Boxset, HUMAN GAS / STALI NISM split 7″ (sold out on preorder), v.a. “ESTAMOS EN LA SIMA” 2xLP, WRONG BOYS LP, DISARMO TOTALE LP… out now on FOAD Records!!

Posted in Disarmo Totale, Human Gas, Releases, Stali Nism, Wrong Boys on October 5th, 2020 by foadmaster2022

The wait is finally over and after yet another delay from the pressing plant, we have received all the F.O.A.D. releases that were scheduled for September, they all look and sound great, so trust us – it was worth the extra week that it took to get them delivered here. Thanks for your patience and for the countless preorders! We are starting to ship now, please keep in mind that the amount of packages that we have to go through is unbelievable, so it’ll take time to mail everything. For this reason we are postponing all our October releases to November, looking at this from a certain perspective it’s sad – you all know that we like to bomb you with new records monthly, but other hand it’s useful to avoid congesting our schedule too much and to let you receive our records with the right timing leaving some breathe between one and another.

This said, we are glad to announce that HUMAN GASSuper Violence Hardcore 1984-1989” Boxset, HUMAN GAS / STALI NISM split 7″, v.a. “ESTAMOS EN LA SIMA” 2 x LP, WRONG BOYSIl suono é distruzione 1982-1984” LP and DISARMO TOTALE1982-1983” LP are all out now on F.O.A.D. Records.  The HUMAN GAS / STALI NISM split 7″ got sold out on preorder but don’t worry, we’re planning another pressing in the early months of 2021, all the diehard colored vinyl versions of each release are sold out. We still have few copies of each on BLACK VINYL but you better hurry up because there aren’t many left! Once again, thanks for your support and be patient – we’re doing our best to send all preorders as quickly as possible. See you again in November for another lethal round of sonic aberrations!

More in detail about each release:

HUMAN GAS “Super Violence Hardcore 1984-1989” Boxset (F.O.A.D. 210)

Double LP + CD + DVD + book + extra casewrapped box. A work of love and dedication, the result of an incredible journey from the F.O.A.D. headquarters to a remote country-town in the middle of the Hokkaidō island, northern Japan, to meet the band members and put together the most exhaustive collection of all their available recordings, spanning from 1985 to 1987.  Here you get the ultra-complete discography of HUMAN GAS, including a lot of unreleased material… Musically, this is some of the rawest and most violent Hardcore ever spawned from the darkest lairs of the ’80s Japanese underground. Tracks from the split 7″ with Stali Nism (1985), “Noice and Hardcore” 1st Demo (1986), “Explosives” 2nd Demo (1986), tracks from “Street Punk in Obihiro” Omnibus tape (1986), “Lack luster” 3rd Demo + extra studio songs (1987), unreleased studio jam session with members of Human Gas + Stali Nism + Middle Class (1987).

Plus there’s an extra CD with a soundboard live take from 1986 that sounds killer, assorted live recordings 1986-1987 and an instrumental version of their cult Demo “Explosives“. And to complete the massacre, you’ll also find a DVD with two complete live sets (their only gig in Sapporo, “Bessie Hall“, 1987 and one in Obihiro’s “Rocking Hall“, 1987) showing these raging maniacs in action. 79 TRACKS!! All this mastered from 1st generation sources provided by the band, transferred and restored with total care and attention to detail at Toxic Basement Studio. Trifold jacket housed in a casewrapped outer boxset, 24 page full colored booklet with loads of rare photos, flyers, memorabilia and some brief liner notes put together talking with the band members. Named after a Kuro song, Human Gas were the most destructive and iconic Northern Japan’s answer to the noisy and violent Noise/Punk scene that was growing in the opposite side of the country with bands like Gai, Confuse and Kuro themselves!

Add the fact that their songs were more structured, solid and as the title of this anthology suggests: violent. The Hokkaidō area is definitely one of the most fascinating and mysterious when it comes to early pioneers of the Japanese Hardcore panorama… L.S.D., 畜生, Slang, Tranquillizer, Deef, , F.U.P., Gaizin, Napalm, Noise-Decay and many more were all based there. Human Gas still stands as one of the most respected names for their genuine anger and the highly original and influential musical approach. Watch the trailer HERE

Solid black vinyl ltd to 500 copies

==================

HUMAN GAS / STALI NISM Split 7″  (F.O.A.D. 209)

Official reissue of  the rarest Japanese Hardcore/Punk 7″ of the ’80s, a true holy grail in every collector’s dreams. The existence of this record has been doubted for years and for some time it has even been removed from Discogs because nobody had evidence of its existence, until a connection with the band members was found. Originally released by the band in 1985, less than 100 copies were pressed and only handed to local friends in the Honbetsu/Obihiro area. What you get here is a pristine replica of the original with the audio sourced from the 1/4″ master reels, same artwork-sleeve, same inserts included. A real treasure from two of the most osbscure and violent Hokkaido Punk units. Human Gas attack with their angry and distorted Hardcore, with early versions of their classic rippers “Poison” and “Question“, Stali Nism, as the name suggests – were mostly influenced by The Stalin and deliver an equally energetic and fast Punk, filled with sincere intensity. Limited to 500 copies, all on black vinyl.  Watch the trailer HERE

Quoting the liner notes included in this record: “This recording was made in 1989, in the basement of Alejandro Restrepo’s house (Ex-Tenebrarum), in a neighborhood called “Niquía de Bello” in the suburbs of Medellin, Colombia. […] We hope that this new edition helps to reflect the history of blood and noise we lived back then.” That’s exactly the point: a history of blood and noise portrayed by some of the most angerful and violent realities from the South American underground of the ’80s. What we have here is one of the greatest Colombian Hardcore compilations, right there with “La ciudad podrida” and “Rodrigo D. no futuro“, for the very first time on vinyl getting the deserved F.O.A.D. treatment. ATAQUE DE SONIDO, CRIMEN IMPUNE, DISKORDIA, BASTARDOS SIN NOMBRE, HERPES, DEXKONCIERTO, HP/HC…  7 bands ranging from Noisecore/Punk to classic LatinoAmerican Hardcore and even Grindcore in the case of HERPES, all of them characterized by an incredible amount of rawness and uncompromised fury.

Compiled under direct supervision of the people that put this project together back then, audio restored and mastered from the best sounding sources in existence, from a selection of 5 different first generation tapes that were used to dub copies of the original version. Unreleased bonus tracks on the HP/HC side. Gatefold sleeve, a stunning 20 page full colored booklet with a wide selection of photos and flyers of each band, liner notes. 180 gram vinyl! WRONG BOYS “Il suono é distruzione 1982-1984” LP (F.O.A.D. 201)

Raw and pissed off Italian Hardcore/Punk from the furious years! WRONG BOYS started in late 1981 in the small boring city of Broni, nearby Pavia, 1 hr drive from Milano. Because of the provinciality of their area, they didn’t get the deserved recognition, apart from a handful of tracks included in the legendary “Raptus” comp. LP’s on Meccano Records and a few more appearences here and there. Members of this band later moved on to form the Hardcore powerhouse called BLAXFEMA. This LP collects all the WRONG BOYS‘ recordings in existence, starting with their fantastic Demo 1982 recorded at Brown Studio, the same place where RAW POWER did their classic demo 1983!  Then there’s the songs from “Raptus – Negazione e superamento” v.a. LP, “Autogestione!” comp. tape plus 8 unreleased ones (rehearsal 1982 and live) that sound bloody raw and introduce their early steps as a pure Punk band before leaning towards typical Italian HC territories. 4 page full colored insert with rare photos, flyers and original art.

If you’re like us a maniac for the first wave of Italian Hardcore/Punk, this is that kind of sloppy and sincere HC tinged Punk that in some parts recalls bands like Blue Vomit, Rappresaglia, Uart Punk just to mention a few. Limited to 300 copies on 180 gram vinyl! Watch the trailer HERE

DISARMO TOTALE “1982/1983” LP (F.O.A.D. 199)

Just when you thought that there was nothing left to unearth from the bloody pit of the 80’s Italian Hardcore… another lost & found gem brought to light by F.O.A.D. Records! DISARMO TOTALE were a shortly lived trio from the area of Ferrara. In the past they were only known in the most inner circles of diehard collectors for their rare demotape that circulated in extremely scarce quantity, probably less than 50. Members of this band later joined IMPACT on the classic “Solo odio” line-up, easily among the 10 best Italian HC records from those years. In recent times they dug from the archives a full live-in-the-studio session made back then that has all their songs performed with unbelievable intensity and good sound quality. Rabid, political Hardcore, 21 tracks combining speed and that very specific vibe that distinguished the Italian bands of that era… roughly, think of a mix of Wretched, Impact, 5° Braccio and some UK Punk influences (Crass, Rudimentary Peni are the first coming to mind when listening).

The audio masters were assembled directly by the band as well as the complete packaging/art, coming with a printed inner sleeve with lyrics and original excerpts/photos of those years. If released back then, this record would be equally worshipped as bands like Eu’s Arse, Underage and Impact themselves, this came as a total surprise to us and it’s guaranteed that if you’re an old school Hardcore maniac you’re going to love it! Limited edition of 300 copies on 180 gram vinyl.  Watch the trailer HERE

So, this month’s release schedule on F.O.A.D. is over all the imaginable limits of mental insanity. 5 releases, an annihilating cyclone of ’80s Hardcore of the fiercest kind, respectively from Japan, Colombia and Italy. Each of these records has a story of passion, researches and even an incredible travel to the other side of the world, as in the case of HUMAN GAS. Everything that is coming out this month represents for us dreams come true, and for this reason we have focused all our enthusiasm and energy into it… as diehard maniacs of these recordings, it was essential to bring them back to light in the highest form, brutality and attention for details. So it’s time to unleash the madness: HUMAN GASSuper Violence Hardcore 1984-1989” Boxset (Double LP + CD + DVD + book + extra casewrapped box), total discography of this mythological Hokkaidō Hardcore unit, the official reissue of HUMAN GAS / STALI NISM split 7″, probably the rarest Japanese HC 7″ of all the times, v.a. “ESTAMOS EN LA SIMA (1989)” 2xLP, one of the greatest Colombian Hardcore/Punk/Noise compilations for the very first time on vinyl, with 7 raging bands such as ATAQUE DE SONIDO, CRIMEN IMPUNE, DISKORDIA, BASTARDOS SIN NOMBRE, HERPES, DEXKONCIERTO, HP/HC… and then moving to our well tested territory aka the furious Italian Hardcore from the wid bunch days: WRONG BOYSIl suono é distruzione 1982-1984” LP and DISARMO TOTALE1982/1983” LP, two incredible lost and found gems of the rawest and most genuine Italo-core nihilism. Scroll down for extensive reviews to each one of these releases!

Some important things to add: our temptative release date for all these is September 25, please be patient, unexpected after-Covid delays from the pressing plant still may occour. As usual there are ltd. diehard editions for each title, as you’ll notice we increased the quantity of the Human Gas boxset from our usual standards, but anyway you need to act fast.

More in detail about each release:
